I had a wonderful experience at the salon with Nevila today! Ever since my favorite salon (Devachan) closed, I’d been searching (without much luck) for a place or stylist that came close to what I was used to. Until today. It was such a joy to finally find someone who truly understands and honors how to work with curly hair. I’ve found my new salon home and highly recommend Nevila and the entire team at Curl Divinity Salon! ❤️

Honestly Fabio was a lifesaver for my engagement shoot. The hotel water in NYC was not kind to my hair, and you could never tell with how Fabio styled and washed my hair! The blowout and style lasted for days, and his salon is so quick. Located in the UES, I'd make any excuse to go back here!

Trish is consistently one of the best colorists I've been to in NYC. She is brilliant with long, wavy hair for cuts, color, and blow-dries. The salon staff are welcoming and friendly. It's a 10 every time!

Caesar always gives me an excellent haircut, just walked into my apartment and a friend said "great haircut." Their salon is very pleasant, personal and has a great relaxed vibe. I always see other people looking great when they finish working on them as well.

I just got my 2nd haircut with Chi. My first one was last fall when I was working in NYC for a few months,. I loved the asymmetrical style she gave me so much that I returned this weekend though I'm only visiting the city for a few days. My salon in San Francisco just doesn't match up! Chi has an eye for what will look good, and makes it happen with such ease.

I had an amazing experience here! I am a guy with curly hair, between an 2 and 3A, so I’ve had A LOT of bad haircuts. This is the best cut I’ve had in YEARS! Even when I ask for a diva cut, stylists always give me a generic men’s cut when I go short, so I never do. NOT Sandra! Even though I went with a shorter length (and had worn a hat all day), she took her time to cut my curls individually and made sure they all came through. I almost always walk out of the salon disappointed and put off getting a trim for as long as possible but today I am already looking forward to seeing her again!

I had a fantastic styling done by Ali (truly incredible), but he made comments that my hair didn’t need to be straightened and tried to persuade me to go against what I consider, as an African American in a hair salon, to be a finished look following a blow out. Again, he did an absolutely beautiful job, but the repeat comments (both during this appointment and my last appointment with him) made me feel like I wasn’t a valued customer and felt like he did not want to do my hair. Still very happy and very grateful, but that didn’t feel great.

I've followed Nevila to I think 4 different salon locations so far, she is my GIRL! Even after moving to Albany NY, I still make the drive down to get my hair cut by her. The salon is beautiful, the products and staff are outstanding. Life changing for a curly girl (or guy!) looking for the RIGHT style and cut. Highly recommend!!

I had such an amazing experience with Dina at Bon Bon Salon! She completely understood what I wanted and made my hair look even better than I imagined. She’s so kind, talented, and really pays attention to detail. My hair feels so healthy and looks gorgeous — I’ve gotten so many compliments since! During my stay in New York, I decided to get my hair cut. Online, I found an independent hairdresser in Union Square. On the 12th floor of a historic building, I met Marianna and her assistant Annie in a small salon. The atmosphere was very pleasant, calm, with relaxing lounge music playing. Marianna was very focused and took great care and attention to detail with my haircut, which I love. Even after the first wash, my hair looks fantastic. (I never blow dry my hair). Thank you for this authentic New York experience.
