Paying your team overview
With Fresha, you can automate every step of paying your team all in one place. Whether your team is salaried, paid hourly, or earning commissions and tips, you can track hours, calculate earnings and send payments.
To pay your team through Fresha, you’ll need to have Fresha Payments enabled. This allows you to collect payments from clients into your business wallet, which can be used to pay your team either to their personal Fresha wallets or linked bank accounts.
Fresha streamlines the entire pay process into three key steps:
1. Track and calculate team earnings
Fresha automatically calculates each team member’s earnings based on your setup. This includes:
Wages
For team members who earn hourly pay, such as contracted team members, you can set their hourly rate to automatically calculate wages based on their scheduled shifts or when they clock in or clock out of their shifts.
For team members with monthly salary, you can add a fixed salary directly in pay runs using an adjustment, so they’re always included in your team’s earnings.
Commissions
Your team can earn commissions on the services, products, memberships, and gift cards they sell. Commission rates are fully customizable and are automatically tracked as sales are checked out.
Tips
Whether tips are collected online or added at checkout, Fresha includes them in the pay run automatically, so no manual tracking is needed.
2. Prepare pay runs
Each pay run is automatically calculated and summarized, so you can easily review and make updates before sending. Fresha provides built-in tools that allow you to:
Pass on Fresha fees, like payment processing fees, to team members. These will be automatically reflected in their pay run.
Make any manual adjustments to the team member's earnings, including taxes and deductions.
Automatically log any cash a team member collects from a client as a cash advance which is deducted from their payout, so there’s no risk of overpayment.
3. Pay your team directly
When you're ready, you can complete the pay run for your selected pay period. The funds are transferred from your business wallet to each team member’s peronal Fresha wallet or linked bank account, with no need for manual bank transfers or external systems.
