Learn how to set up a personal wallet on your account, allowing you to transfer money to team members, locations and your bank account as needed.

How your personal wallet works
Your personal wallet connects your Fresha personal account to your bank account, allowing you to send and receive money. You can receive payouts directly from your employer and transfer funds to your bank at any time.
To start sending and receiving money, you’ll need to complete the verification process.
To pass verification
You’ll need the following details and documents to connect your bank account with your Fresha wallet.
Personal details and proof of ID
You’ll need to provide proof of identification and banking. This information must match the name on your bank account.
Acceptable proof of ID:
You can provide any of the following types of identification:
- Valid passport.
- Valid driving license (front and back).
- Valid Identity card (front and back).
Proof of ID guidelines:
Your proof of ID must meet the following requirements:
- Showing your date of birth.
- Showing your residence address.
- Showing your full name.
- All four edges of the ID are visible.
- The image is in focus.
- There are no blurs or light reflections.
- There are no obstructions on the ID image.
Bank details and proof of banking
You’ll need to pair your bank account with Fresha and provide proof of banking for verification.
Acceptable proof of banking:
You can provide any of the following types of identification:
- Full-page bank statement.
- Letter from the bank.
- Void cheque issued by the bank.
Proof of banking guidelines:
Your full-page bank statement must meet the following requirements:
- Show the bank account holder’s full name.
- Dated within the last six months.
- Show the bank logo with no obstructions.
- Show the full account number with no obstructions.
- Be clear and legible.
Mobile app screenshots and bank card pictures are not accepted as proof of banking.
Add your bank details
Once you have gathered your proof of ID and banking documents, you can proceed to add your bank details.

From the toolbar in the top right of your screen, click the Wallet icon to view your wallet.

Under Account balance, click Set up now to set up your wallet.

Enter your Fresha account password to proceed to the next step.

Next, select your account type:

- Individual: select if you are an individual and have a personal account.
- Sole trader: select if you are self-employed or freelancer and have a business bank account.
- Company: select if you are a compnay representative and have a business bank account.

Next, click on the Start button next to Personal details to proceed with your verification.

Enter your contact details, such as date of birth and mobile number. Click on the Continue button in the top right of your screen to proceed.

Enter your residential address, by searching for the address in the search bar and selecting the address from the dropdown menu. Click on the Continue button in the top right of your screen to proceed.

Next, select your form of identification:

- Passport
- Drivers licence
- Identity card

Review the guidelines before clicking on the Continue button in the top right of your screen to proceed.

Click on Choose a file to upload an image of your identification.

Click on the Continue button in the top right of your screen to proceed.

Next, click on Start next to Bank account to verify your bank details.

Select Connect to your bank for instant bank verification using a QR code.
- Alternatively, you can choose to manually add your bank details.

Next, click Accept to allow Fresha to verify your bank details.

Select your bank account type, if not displayed in the options, use the search bar to enter your bank.

Use your phone camera to scan the QR code provided. You'll be redirected to your bank where you can verify your information

Once verified, click on the Continue button in the top right of your screen to proceed.

Review your details and click on th Confirm button in the top right of your screen, to submit your application.

Once you submit your application, your information will be verified. We'll send you a confirmation email, letting you know when you can start sending and receiving funds.
Adjusting your wallet settings
Setting up transfer authorization adds an extra layer of security, protecting your account from unauthorized outbound transactions.
- From the toolbar in the top right of your screen, click the Wallet icon to view your wallet.

- In the left menu panel, select Wallet settings, and click Enable to activate verification on all transactions.

- Enter your Fresha account password to and click Continue.

- Toggle on Authorize with your Fresha password to require you to verify every transfer and payout with your Fresha password.

- Click on the Save button in the top right of your screen to confrim your changes.

- You will then see this enabled under your Wallet settings.

Verifying your identity and bank account information can take up to two business days.
In case of a legal name change (marriage, divorce or other reasons), reach out to us, and provide us with official documents to support your name change.
