Set up your personal wallet
Make quick and seamless payments through Fresha. Learn how to set up a personal wallet on your account, allowing you to transfer money to team members, locations and your bank account as needed.
Getting started
To start sending money through your personal wallet, you’ll need to pass the verification process. Before starting this up, we recommend:
- Have your bank account details to hand.
- Check that the workplace you belong to has the Team Pay add-on enabled. You’ll need this to receive payments in your personal wallet.
Preparing your details
You’ll need the following details and documents to connect your bank account with your Fresha wallet. We recommend gathering all of this information before getting started.
Personal details and proof of ID
You’ll need to provide proof of identification and banking. This information must match the name on your bank account.
Acceptable proof of ID
You can provide any of the following types of identification:
- Valid passport.
- Vaid driving license (front and back).
- Valid Identity card (front and back).
Proof of ID guidelines
Your proof of ID must meet the following requirements:
- Showing your date of birth.
- Showing your residence address.
- Showing your full name.
- All four edges of the ID are visible.
- The image is in focus.
- There are no blurs or light reflections.
- There are no obstructions on the ID image.
Bank details and proof of banking
You’ll need to pair your bank account with Fresha and provide proof of banking for verification.
Acceptable proof of banking
You can provide any of the following types of identification:
- Full-page bank statement.
- Letter from the bank.
- Void cheque issued by the bank.
Proof of banking guidelines
Your full-page bank statement must meet the following requirements:
- Show the bank account holder’s full name.
- Dated within the last six months.
- Show the bank logo with no obstructions.
- Show the full account number with no obstructions.
- Be clear and legible.
Mobile app screenshots and bank card pictures are not accepted as proof of banking.
Adding your bank details
Once you have gathered your proof of ID and banking documents, you can proceed to add your bank details.
To add your bank details:
- Click on your Avatar icon and select Personal wallet.
- Under Account balance, click Set up now by the prompt to set up your wallet.
- Review the information and click Next step until you're asked to choose your bank account type.
- Select your bank account type and carry on to the Next step.
- Enter your bank account details.
- Upload your proof of banking and click Next step.
- Select the proof of ID type you wish to upload.
- Upload your proof of ID and click Next step.
- Add your bank account holder details. These must match the proof of banking document and the proof of ID document.
- Click Next step to submit your details.
We’ll verify these details and send you a confirmation email, letting you know when you can start sending and receiving funds.
Adjusting your wallet settings
Setting up transfer authorization adds an extra layer of security, protecting your account from unauthorized outbound transactions.
- Click on your Avatar icon and select Personal wallet.
- Choose Wallet settings from the menu.
- Under Transfer authorization, select Enable.
- Enter your account password and click Continue.
- Select Authorise with your Fresha password.
- Click Save.
