Update your card terminal's software
Maintain compatibility with the latest software and improve your terminal's overall performance. Learn how to update the software on your terminal to keep things running smoothly at all times.
Getting started
Updating the software on each card terminal model varies slightly. This process can be done directly on your terminal and differs depending on the specific model. Before updating a card terminal we recommend:
- Make sure you're connected to the internet (WiFi or mobile hotspot).
- Having your card terminal PIN codes to hand.
Updating a Fresha S1 card terminal
To update a Fresha S1 terminal:
- Tap on the Settings option and then Configuration.
- Enter PIN code 5358.
- Tap Update (if available).
Updating a V400m card terminal
To update a V400m terminal:
- Access the Admin menu using the PIN code 5358 followed by the green circle button on your card terminal.
- Go to Software and press Update.
- Wait until the software has been fully updated.
Allow up to 20 minutes for your Fresha card terminal software to update on a V400m device.

We recommend having your terminal fully charged or at least 50% before you start a software update.
To perform a software update, you will need to connect to the internet (WiFi or mobile hotspot).
