The staff and space were nice. DO NOT book a curly hair appointment if your hair is wavy/curly, get the regular haircut. Mine is between wavy and curly, I booked a curly cut. The layers and shaping are great, but the styling looked AWFUL because my hair didn't curl enough. It was huge and frizzy but didn't bring out a curl pattern the way I had hoped. I asked the stylist about it but she didn't show me how to shape them with the extra time left in the hour. I would try a regular haircut here but not the curly haircut again.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this salon!! From the second you walk in you’re treated like family and made to feel so comfortable. I got my hair cut and colored by Ena and she was AMAZING!! She was so kind and thoughtful when doing my hair checking in with me along the way making sure I was good! I wasn’t totally sure the color I wanted and Ena worked with me to find the PERFECT natural look while still making sure It was noticeable! Silvana also helped with coloring and washing my hair, she was so kind and comforting along the way! Amazing experience I can’t wait to go back!

Everyone at the salon was very nice and welcoming. I was even offered a coffee when I arrived! Hairdresser Sandra was very knowledgeable and gave me a beautiful curly haircut. The hair washing experience was also amazing. Would definitely recommend.

I went into my appointment feeling blah and was *feeling myself* by the time I left. I can’t give Harix enough praise! He is SO talented and I could not be happier with my cut and color. He is equal parts artist and stylist, which is especially crucial when it comes to curly hair. He also has a wonderful vibe and I immediately felt at ease. This is by far the best hair service I’ve ever received. Harix is truly a curly hair expert and I’m so grateful to have found him! Roots Radicals is also a lovely salon. Everyone there was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I recommend it to everyone!

Kevin is a wonderful stylist. I hadn’t been to Roots Radicals before and was happy I made the appointment. Kevin went over the various options for my medium-length haircut. Tamia is a true professional. She was on time and very thorough. As a first time curly cut client, she asked me to tell her about my hair and listened to my hair concerns, goals and complaints. She acted on the information I provided and by her assessments. She chose products and haircut accordingly. As a result I am happy with my cut and the services provided. Gaby gave me a great wash and was very sweet and accommodating. Great place. Easy access to MTA. I am looking forward to my next trim. Very happy indeed .

It was my first time here and Tetsu did a fantastic job. I told him how I like my hair cut and when he was almost done, I asked him to make it a little shorter near the top on the side. He immediately obliged and was very nice about it. Will definitely go again when I need another haircut.
