It was my first visit and it was lovely. I love my hair, I love the staff, I love my stylist (Lauren), I love the way the products smell, I love the way everything looks inside, I love their organization and the way they handle business. If I wasn't moving next month, this would be my permanent salon, but unfortunately I'm leaving New York. :(

Jill is a magician!! The New York winter and water had killed my curls, but Jill brought them back to life. So very professional and taught me about my hair and styling, while also keeping my preferences top of mind. The space is clean and modern, and the Self team were so wonderful.

I walked into the salon today 7.14.26 extremely nervous because it's been over 8 years since I have done my hair professionally. Jahlena was amazing as my hair stylist and Stephenie was an absolute sweetheart as the assistant. Jahlena was attentive and honest, steering me in the right direction. Stephenie was sweet, kind put me at ease (she made me a cup of tea 🙂). I definitely recommend H2 Salon if you are looking for a professional, clean and respectful hair salon. Since I now reside in California and visit NY twice a year, I will be getting my hair done at H2 Salon whenever I'm in NY. ♥️♥️

I had a great experience with Gina. This is my first time getting a short hair cut and she answered every question and made me feel very comfortable and took me through it step by step to the length that I will feel more comfortable in. My experience with Gina was amazing but the lady at the front desk with the long straightened hair was very rude to the stylist in which made me feel uncomfortable. Besides that I had an overall good experience and I love my haircut

Gina was so amazing! My hair was dead and flat when I came in. She listened to what I wanted out of the haircut and recommended some solutions and did such an amazing job. I can’t recommend her and this salon enough after encountering so many bad salons in Brooklyn. So happy to have FINALLY found a salon I plan on coming back to for future haircuts.

I went into my appointment feeling blah and was *feeling myself* by the time I left. I can’t give Harix enough praise! He is SO talented and I could not be happier with my cut and color. He is equal parts artist and stylist, which is especially crucial when it comes to curly hair. He also has a wonderful vibe and I immediately felt at ease. This is by far the best hair service I’ve ever received. Harix is truly a curly hair expert and I’m so grateful to have found him! Roots Radicals is also a lovely salon. Everyone there was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I recommend it to everyone!

Kevin is a wonderful stylist. I hadn’t been to Roots Radicals before and was happy I made the appointment. Kevin went over the various options for my medium-length haircut. Ruben is the man! I hadn’t gotten a haircut in over two years, so I was a little nervous about making a big change. He took the time to look through my reference photos, asked the right questions, and made sure he understood exactly what I was going for. He absolutely nailed it. He’s great with curly textured hair and beards, and you can tell he really pays attention to the details. I walked out feeling fresh, confident, and honestly better than I expected. The Professionalism of Qiu, Debbie provided exceptional service that exceeded my expectations. I opted for the Milbon Japanese hair treatment, Hair Color, and weeks after keratin treatment, and I very happy with the results. Qiu’s expertise shone through as he expertly assessed my hair's needs recommended the best treatments for me. The Milbon treatment left my hair feeling incredibly soft and revitalized, while the Keratin treatment. I highly recommend!

I recently had my hair cut and colored for grey hair by the hairstylist Q. I couldn't be more thrilled with the results! He was incredibly attentive to my needs, really listened to what I wanted, and also gave me suggestions for styling my hair. The color is perfect and the cut is exactly what I was looking for - easy to style and looks great every day. The staffs are very professional and friendly. Last minute before a trip, I realized how bad of a hair color touchup I was in need of and my usual place was unavailable, so I decided to swing by the studio to see if there was any chance there for highlights. Dori was super nice and was willing to accommodate me last minute, even staying late since that was the only time I was available too, and she did an absolutely fantastic job!
