I had the best experience with Initial, specifically Ayala. She was super nice and sweet. I really loved the hair colour she did on me. I also learned a lot from her even though I have been dying my hair at other salons before. I wish she could stay in Vancouver so she can be my stylist forever haha.

Sho took the time to walk me through the process, ensuring I knew what to expect and that I was comfortable with the style. Mii was able to do the haircut I requested (adding layers + thinning out volume), and proactively checked to make sure I was happy with the style, hair length and thickness. She explained each step of the process, made helpful suggestions, and used special techniques to make sure my hair framed my face well. I've never had a perm before but I trusted Jenny with the process. She did a phenomenal job - she trimmed all the damaged ends of my hair, triple checked to make sure which kind of perm I wanted, washed my hair and did the whole job so seamlessly. I loved the look - will definitely come back for touch ups.

Angus’s the best hair stylist in the Vancouver🫡

I flew all the way from Edmonton to have my hair cut by Ken and he exceeded my expectations. He always ask the right questions to customers and try to accommodate to the customer’s hair care routine at home. I have a badly bleached hair and he even gave me some advice on how to take care of it. He also takes into consideration how my glasses would affect my hair, which no other hairdressers ever bothered to do. I highly recommend his service and would definitely come back to him whenever I visit Vancouver.

My hair was so damaged, and I was beginning to think that shaving my head was the only option. I’m glad I went to him before that happened. He saved me and made me beautiful. Yumi was patient with me, and helped me find the right haircut that is suitable to my face shape, hair texture and my preferences. The hair wash alone was great!
