How business gift cards work
There are two types of gift cards on Fresha: Fresha gift cards and business gift cards. Fresha gift cards can be redeemed at any verified venue on the Fresha marketplace, while business gift cards are created by individual venues and can only be used at their business.
In this guide, we’ll focus on business gift cards. These cards are issued and managed directly by you. Clients can purchase them from you either in-store or online through your marketplace profile. Once purchased, it can be redeemed only at your business. The money from the gift card goes straight to your workspace wallet when it’s bought.
Collect a business gift card payment saved to a client
- To create a new sale, you can either raise a new sale or select Checkout from an appointment and make any adjustments to the cart.
- In the right panel of the cart view, click on the Continue to payment button at the bottom.
- In the left panel under the client's payment methods, select the claimed business gift card.
- In the pop-up, enter the amount you’d like to redeem, then click on the Redeem button.
- Click on the Pay now button at the bottom to process the client's payment and complete the sale.
Once the sale has been completed, a receipt is also generated, which you can share with the client by email or print.

- In the left panel, under Payment methods, select Gift card from the options.
- In the pop-up, enter the gift card code and click on the Find button.
- Enter the amount you’d like to redeem, then click on the Redeem button.
- Click on the Pay now button at the bottom to process the client's payment and complete the sale.
Once the sale has been completed a receipt is also generated, which you can share with the client by email or print.
FAQs
Clients can use a business gift card to pay for services, products, or memberships at your business. Gift cards can’t be used to buy another gift card.
You can extend a business gift card’s expiry date at any time from your workspace. Go to Sales from the main menu and select Gift cards sold. Find the gift card, select Actions, then choose Extend. In the pop-up, set a new expiry date and click Update to save your changes.
If a gift card is redeemed for the wrong client, open the appointment where the gift card was used, then void the sale. The credit returns to the gift card automatically, and you can complete checkout again using the correct client and payment method.
