Deya is the best! I have thick hair and I was worried about if KMB Studio didn’t have texturizing shears, but thank goodness I asked! They have shears to help thin your thick hair out if you don’t want to deal with a puffy lion’s mane especially with Chicago’s humidity lol! 🦁😜 and the conditioning mask made my hair feel soft and less frizzy! Barbara was amazing, as was the young lady assisting her on my hair. Everyone was very friendly in the shop and extremely accommodating with getting bundles purchased and installed in a timely manner. My hair only took 4 hours and came out very neat and as I wanted. I’ll only be getting my hair braided here from now on!

I went in originally thinking I would get knotless boho braids, but after my stylist KE evaluated my hair especially the breakage in the back she recommended small box braids instead. I was a little hesitant at first because I really wanted the knotless look, but I’m so glad I trusted her . The braids came out incredibly neat and seamless. The knots are so small they almost look like knotless braids anyway. She was very fast and efficient despite getting small braids I was in and out in about 5 hours. I’m really grateful I found KE She was professional, honest about what my hair needed 10/10

Karina Ponomarenko is the absolute BEST!!! I recently moved to Chicago and was nervous to try someone new, but I have had the most amazing experience. Karina is so kind, flexible with scheduling, and easy to reach out to. I DM her on Instagram and the appointment is booked within minutes. Her new salon is beautiful with a great location, as well. I definitely recommend Karina and will continue going back to her for all my hair needs :)

Margaret, is the best hair stylist. She’s very professional, funny and will make you feel like your family. My daughter loves when she does her hair because she says “her edges be on fleek” lol. I came into perfect picture to get a perm in my hair, but once I got there Margaret did a consultation with me and she decided that I didn’t need a perm just a silk press which I loved because she took her time to examine my hair first , so she did the silk press, but not before she did a detangler because it was badly tangled due to old radiation damage … she wasn’t just friendly. She was genuine and comforting. Especially to my hair.. so she did the silk press and it came out so beautiful… I definitely found a true angel someone who’s dedicated to her work and yes, I definitely will be back
