Deya is the best! I have thick hair and I was worried about if KMB Studio didn’t have texturizing shears, but thank goodness I asked! They have shears to help thin your thick hair out if you don’t want to deal with a puffy lion’s mane especially with Chicago’s humidity lol! 🦁😜 and the conditioning mask made my hair feel soft and less frizzy! Kayla did my hair and makeup for my wedding day, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Despite not doing a trial run, she took me on her day off and created the most beautiful bridal look. I had a really nice experience overall. The owner and the hairdresser were both incredibly kind and accommodating. They created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. I absolutely loved how my hair turned out! They did a beautiful job. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the makeup wasn’t quite what I asked for. I requested a very natural look, but it ended up being much heavier than I wanted and I had to redo it. That said, their kindness and the positive energy in the salon really stood out, and I truly appreciated how welcoming they were.

Mylissa helped do wedding hair and makeup for my bridal party and me. She was awesome from the start. We did a trial together and talked through the logistics of the day. She is very laid back and chill which helped me to relax a little bit during the stresses of wedding planning. She helped turned my vision into the perfect wedding look. ArtPM is the cutest, cleanest, nicest, and best permanent makeup/tattoo spot I have ever visited (and I have 11 tattoos and permanent brows and eyeliner). They always make sure to take their time and do it right and to your liking. The girls that work there are friendly and incredibly helpful and I love supporting a woman-owned small business. I’ve been getting blowouts for many years, have long and thick hair - Sam is the absolute best! I travel often for work, into humid climates, and my hair usually lasts the duration of the several day meeting. Sam understands when to make the hair smooth for travel days and more fancy if I’m getting a blowout for a party! He also has a wonderful personality, and is very accommodating. I can’t recommend him enough- both my mom and daughter use Sam for haircuts and blowouts, always perfection!

Aizirek was truly amazing! Coming from a licensed nail technician myself, it can be difficult to find someone whose work and technique I genuinely trust especially since I can’t do my own non dominant hand. I also wanted to start my journey with builder gel to help grow out my natural nails, as I have struggled with nail biting. She did an incredible job. Her precision, attention to detail, and overall technique are truly impressive. The structure and finish of the builder gel application were flawless.
