Massage-etiquette is een ding - en het is belangrijk voor zowel jou als je therapeut. Wanneer je een behandeling ondergaat, moet je niet:

je verkleden terwijl je therapeut nog in de kamer is
overmatig lawaai maken

Wat moet ik doen na een deep tissue massage?

Na je diepe weefselmassage wil je ervoor zorgen dat je de volledige voordelen voelt en je winst maximaliseert. Het kan nuttig zijn om:

Rust: Na een intense massagesessie die is ontworpen om je geest en lichaam te ontspannen, is het het beste om jezelf te helpen ontspannen te blijven. Of het nu gaat om een dutje doen of gewoon je voeten voor de televisie zetten, laat jezelf de effecten van je diepe weefselmassage voelen. Probeer ten minste 24 uur te wachten voor een intense fysieke activiteit
eten en drinken - maar houd het licht: Hoewel je idealiter vóór de massage niet te veel moet eten of drinken, moet je jezelf daarna zeker hydrateren. Het is ook normaal om trek te hebben na een massage, dus een lichte en voedzame maaltijd kan echt op zijn plaats zijn
neem een bad: niets helpt het ontspanningsproces zo als een warm bad - en als je het voelt, trakteer jezelf dan op wat bubbels of een badbom om jezelf echt te verwennen. Je moet echter een warm bad of douche vermijden, omdat dit de ontsteking kan verergeren. Als je een blessure hebt, dan is het beter om een koude douche of bad te nemen om de pijn te verlichten.

Kunnen diepe weefselmassages schade veroorzaken?

U moet met uw arts praten voordat u een diepe weefselmassage ondergaat als:

u bloedverdunners gebruikt of een stollings- of bloedingsstoornis heeft
u een behandeling ondergaat voor een recente operatie of chemotherapie
u lijdt aan zenuwbeschadiging
u huidaandoeningen heeft
u wonden heeft die niet volledig zijn genezen
u een hernia heeft

Hoe pijnlijk is een deep tissue massage?

Het is normaal om na een diepe weefselmassage wat pijn te voelen, omdat ze behoorlijk intens kunnen zijn. Zie het als dezelfde soort pijn die je krijgt na een zware training! De behandeling zelf houdt in dat er hoge druk op je lichaam wordt uitgeoefend en er kan enig ongemak zijn - als het te veel wordt, kun je dit altijd aan je therapeut laten weten. Het is

echter belangrijk om op te merken dat hoewel pijn vaak voorkomt, je na de massage geen extreme pijn zou moeten voelen. Als dit het geval is, moet je dit ook aan je therapeut en je arts vertellen.

Laat een diepe weefselmassage emoties los?

Het is al eeuwen bekend dat emoties diep in het lichaam kunnen worden gevangen en een diepe weefselmassage kan effectief zijn om die spanningen te helpen loslaten. Je massagetherapeut zal het belang van emotionele ontlading als onderdeel van hun behandelingen begrijpen - het is echter belangrijk om te onthouden dat ze mogelijk niet zijn opgeleid om te helpen bij emotionele therapie.

Wat gebeurt er als je een deep tissue massage krijgt?

Wanneer je een diepe weefselmassage krijgt, zal je therapeut vragen op welk deel van je lichaam je wilt dat ze zich concentreren. Er is geen standaardmethode - de behandeling moet worden afgestemd op uw specifieke behoeften, maar alle therapeuten hebben ook hun eigen individuele stijlen.

Je wordt gevraagd om op de massagetafel te liggen, op je voorkant, achterkant of zijkant, afhankelijk van het gebied dat wordt gemasseerd. Je therapeut kan eerst licht beginnen met het opwarmen van je spieren, voordat hij verder gaat met de aandachtsgebieden.

Dit houdt in dat er langzaam diepe druk wordt uitgeoefend met handen, armen en ellebogen om uw samengetrokken spieren en weefsels vrij te maken. De tijd die nodig is om de behandeling te voltooien kan variëren, maar het zal normaal gesproken tussen de één en twee uur zijn.
