Wonderful experience at my Spa Massage just outside York. Afer much online research, booked Deep Tissue Massage Treatments for Two (sister and self) at Shabby to Chic just outside York centre and were completely satisfied. Both Elise and Sarah were very professional taking pride in their work - both therapists took the time to listen as to which areas to concentrate on and the treatments were tailored accordingly. Wished we lived nearer, as were just in York for a couple of days - would like to go back on a regular basis to pursue a tailored treatment plan - can't speak highly enough!

My visits here are always a massive highlight for me. Lisa, Stacey and Alix were so welcoming. Always friendly and caring and creates such a relaxing environment. There is nowhere else in York like it! Alix took such time and care doing my nails and the art I had found. Fantastic job and love my nails. I was lucky enough to have the spa extreme ritual day, this was the best massage and facial I have ever had. The young lady who have me this experience was fantastic. The pool, and other amenities were great, the salt room especially. My Spar package also included a light lunch which I had a beautiful Yorkshire ham salad, and would highly recommend. You can even stay in your bathrobe to go and have lunch in the conservatory. I will definitely be returning.

Incredible Japanese head spa, such a relaxing environment from the offset with the heated bed and weighted blanket. My scalp has never felt so clean and healthy, and the mini facial and neck and shoulder massages were an amazing bonus!

As usual, a nice welcome and a helping hand with coat and walking frame. Would I like a cup of coffee ? No thank you but a glass of water would be good. Love Jake washing my hair and massaging my scalp. A bit different cut this time and Tracy did it just as I explained. I’m happy .

Having a combination of a head, body and face massage with Irina was just the most ideal reset and like no massage I’ve had before. I felt both energised and relaxed, and like time had stood still! Irina is so knowledgeable about the styles she uses and I felt safe, nourished and entirely at ease. Wonderful experience having my first Ayurvedic massage with Irina. She very calmly and patiently explained the process and the philosophy of Ayurveda, and helped find the appropriate oil for my body. I will definitely be back and be recommending Irina to my friends in York and visitors.

I love visiting select. The staff are chilled and friendly. They don't mind who you go with for treatments as long as you're relaxed. They're highly trained & knowledgeable and happy to chat or be quiet if I'm zoned out. The facials and hot oil massages are gorgeous, but don't plan anything afterwards because you'll be so relaxed! They're brow experts. It's not easy finding people you trust who are consistently good. For electrolysis, they're the best in York, I tried 3 other places before finding Joanne. The location is easy to find and has free parking.

Great job at doing my hair. Visited several hairdressers in York to try and tone down the blond in my hair but not go two dark and they managed to get the colour just right. Good cut, reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Love the wash, head massage, going out with my hair looking good and the young company and conversations. Pleased that I joined the blow dry club. My husband Paul had a very dry scalp, Jo advised using her The Hair Mixologist Nourishing Hair Oil , in fused with Rosemary & Peppermint… 100% natural ingredients. To stop using a certain shampoo so I shampooed Paul’ s hair with Kevin Murphy shampoo also from Jo. What a difference in one week the best condition Paul’s hair has been in 45 years of being together. Thank you Jo ,for good advice. Annette 🥰

As usual an expert hair cut by Jo, a tweak on my short hair style. Jo gave me advice on my husband's scalp problem so I bought her Hair Mixologist Nourishing Hair Oil infused with rosemary and peppermint. It smells gorgeous and I have had the treatment in the salon. Iryna’s hands consciously caring, and so thorough working her way generously offering this pause this surrender. She worked her magic from head to toe. The experience such an escape of intuitive kindness. So pleased to know these hands now and how beneficial. I’m always really pleased with my nails when Alice does them regularly so today I decided to try out a head massage and had my eyebrows waxed. Pleased with my eyebrows and ooooh the massage was absolutely fabulous ( and I’ve had quite a few to compare it to)
