Create and manage promotions
Attract new clients and reward loyal ones with customizable discount codes. Learn how to create and manage promotions that clients can use when booking online or at checkout.

How it works
Promotions give you the flexibility to create custom discounts that work for your business. You can set the value, duration, usage limits, and choose whether they apply online, in-store, or both. Promotions can be applied to all services and products, or tailored to selected items and locations.
Once your promotion is live, you can view or manage it anytime from the Deals section under Marketing in the main right-hand menu. From here, you can check its details, such as the promotion code, applicable services or products, expiration date, and locations, or take actions like editing, duplicating, deactivating, or archiving it. You can also create a campaign to share it with clients.
Clients can enter the discount code you’ve shared with them in the Discount code field during online checkout. You can also apply discounts manually in-store during checkout by editing the cart item and selecting the relevant discount code.
Promotion statuses
Promotions have three statuses:
- Active: The deal is live, available to clients and can be applied automatically or with a discount code.
- Inactive: The deal has been deactivated or has expired. It will not appear to clients or be usable, but it will show in your Deals list so you can manage or reactivate it.
- Archived: The deal has been deactivated and archived. It will no longer be visible or available to your clients. It will not appear in your main Deals list, but you can still access it by filtering for archived deals.
Creating promotions
You can customize promotions with specific start and end dates, usage limits, applicable services or items, and locations.
To create a promotion:
- Open Marketing and select Deals.
- Click Add and choose Promotion.
- Under Customize promotion details, provide the following:
- Name:
Enter the promotion’s name. - Description:
Add an optional description (this is not visible to clients). - Apply promotions to:
Choose the items (services or products) the promotion applies to. Click Edit next to each category to select items. - Enable for gift cards:
Toggle on if the promotion applies to in-store gift cards. - Start and end dates:
Set the duration for the promotion, or choose Ongoing for no end date. - Promotion value:
Enter the discount amount, either as a fixed amount or a percentage. - Promotion limits:
Set limits such as one use per client, total number of uses, and a minimum spend amount.
- Name:
- Click Next step and choose how to apply the promotion:
- Enable promotion at point of sale:
Add the promotion during checkout. - Enable discount code:
Create a code for clients to use online.
- Enable promotion at point of sale:
- Select the locations and team members for the promotion if applicable.
- Click Create deal.
You can review the promotion details on the confirmation page.
After setting up your promotion, inform your regular clients by creating a blast message. Click Create a campaign from the confirmation screen to get started.
Create a campaign
If your promotion has a discount code, notify your clients through a blast campaign.
To create a campaign:
- Open Marketing and select Deals.
- Click the three dots next to the promotion and choose Create a campaign.
- Follow the steps to complete the campaign.
Edit a promotion
To editing a promotion:
- Open Marketing and select Deals.
- Click the three dots next to the promotion and choose Edit.
- Update the promotion as needed.
- Click Save.
Deactivate a promotion
To deactivate a promotion:
- Open Marketing and select Deals.
- Click the three dots next to the promotion and choose Deactivate.
A pop-up will confirm the deactivation, the status will change to Inactive, and the deal will no longer be visible to clients or available for use. You can reactivate it at any time.
Reactivate a promotion
Reactivate a promotion to bring it back.
To reactivate a promotion:
- Open Marketing and select Deals.
- Click the three dots next to the inactive promotion and choose Activate.
A pop-up will confirm the activation, and the status will change to Active.
Duplicate a promotion
Save time by replicating an existing promotion.
To duplicate a promotion:
- Open Marketing and select Deals.
- Click the three dots next to the promotion and choose Duplicate.
- Update the promotion as needed.
Archive a promotion
Keep your promotions organized by archiving those no longer in use.
To archive a promotion:
- Open Marketing and select Deals.
- Click the three dots next to the promotion and choose Archive.
- Select Archive again to reconfirm.
You can also click on a promotion and select Options to manage it.
Once you archive a promotion, it is permanently removed from your main Deals list and will only appear when you filter for archived deals.
FAQs
No, discount codes from active or inactive promotions cannot be reused. To use the same code, archive the other promotion or update the discount code.
No, clients can only apply one discount code per online booking.
You can view your archived deals by opening your Deals list and using the filter icon to show Archived deals.
