Men’s Health Week on 13th-19th June is the perfect time to reach out to your male clients to raise awareness of issues relating to men’s health and wellbeing, and to put a spotlight on your men’s grooming, beauty and well-being services.
Organised by the Men’s Health Forum, Men’s Health Week is actively encouraging men to "give themselves an MOT" and take notice of what’s going on in their mind and body. Men are investing more than ever in their physical and mental well-being, so here’s how your barbershop or salon can get involved using our business software.
A quick check of your client feed will show how many men are on your client list, and there are a number of ways you can use Fresha to spread the Men’s Health Week message, and remind them that it’s a great time to indulge in some self-care. Let’s look at how combining this event with Fresha’s tools can help boost your sales.
Create a package: Create a package of treatments that will appeal to your male clients, such as hot towel shaving, beard trimming, waxing, massages and facials. Creating ‘Men’s Health’ packages will build on the week's theme of promoting well-being and tell them about services that they might not have experienced before.
Everyone will also know a family member, friend or colleague who needs a little pampering, so use Fresha to build as much awareness as possible – not forgetting to push on your website and socials!
Create a discount: It’s quick and easy to create a discount on Fresha. You most likely create discounts for special occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas, so why not for Men’s Heath Week?
While discounts are well received by clients, do think about adding value too, such as ‘Book a treatment and receive a free gift’. Used too often, discounts can devalue your brand and services, but when used wisely, discounts can really help to boost sales when you need it most.
Blast campaigns: Blast campaigns are the perfect way to deliver your marketing messages and strengthen that connection with your clients. Blast campaigns are not just for driving sales or pushing offers, use them to create content which adds value to the client experience.
For example, you could send out a campaign to share the Men’s Health Week message alongside your expert tips for men’s grooming or self-care. Tie this message into a promotion or service and bookings are sure to follow! You can also link this into your Father's Day campaign.
If you’d like to take your support a step further, why not consider signing you and/or your team up to become a Men’s Health Champion? You don't need to be a health expert to become one, as the short online course is ideal for anyone that wants to support men to improve their physical and mental well-being.
Salon, barber and spa professionals are ideally placed to become Men’s Health Champions as they are naturally good listeners who can offer support and signpost clients to appropriate resources and information for more help.
