11/10 experience! This salon was clean and the staff was nice and efficient. I’ve been to many salons and this was the most thorough hair wash and scalp massage I’ve ever had. And Curly was just amazing! I had the best experience with him. He listened and took his time to get my cut as precise and perfect as possible. He also gave me styling tips and got my pin straight hair to look voluminous like I wanted. Glad I found my new go to spot, and for my cut to be under $100 with tip is unheard of in New York.

Jill is a magician!! The New York winter and water had killed my curls, but Jill brought them back to life. So very professional and taught me about my hair and styling, while also keeping my preferences top of mind. The space is clean and modern, and the Self team were so wonderful.

It was my first visit and it was lovely. I love my hair, I love the staff, I love my stylist (Lauren), I love the way the products smell, I love the way everything looks inside, I love their organization and the way they handle business. If I wasn't moving next month, this would be my permanent salon, but unfortunately I'm leaving New York. :(

Dorela did an absolutely amazing job with my hair! I have very thick & wavy hair, so I was a little nervous at first, but Dorela was fantastic! I did the keratin treatment and got a haircut, and she was very precise and took her time with every step. Dorela also keeps her salon super clean. 10/10 experience. From the moment I walked in, staff listened to what I wanted, but was also realistic with me in what I was able to achieve based on my hair. They listened to my concerns every step of the way and went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with my hair. They educated me and recommended products to make sure I'm able to upkeep and maintain my hair. David even went beyond the services I originally came in for, giving me a partial keratin treatment and dust-cut to make ensure I left there confidently. Loved the staff, would absolutely recommend & return back as a customer.

I walked into the salon today 7.14.26 extremely nervous because it's been over 8 years since I have done my hair professionally. Jahlena was amazing as my hair stylist and Stephenie was an absolute sweetheart as the assistant. Jahlena was attentive and honest, steering me in the right direction. Stephenie was sweet, kind put me at ease (she made me a cup of tea 🙂). I definitely recommend H2 Salon if you are looking for a professional, clean and respectful hair salon. Since I now reside in California and visit NY twice a year, I will be getting my hair done at H2 Salon whenever I'm in NY. ♥️♥️

Last minute before a trip, I realized how bad of a hair color touchup I was in need of and my usual place was unavailable, so I decided to swing by the studio to see if there was any chance there for highlights. Dori was super nice and was willing to accommodate me last minute, even staying late since that was the only time I was available too, and she did an absolutely fantastic job! Ich bin aus Deutschland und habe diesen Friseur online entdeckt. Die guten Bewertungen versprechen nicht zu viel. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen sind sehr freundlich und machen wunderschöne Arbeiten. Sara hat mir ein exzellentes Airtouch Balayage gezaubert! Zudem hat sie mich sehr gut beraten, wie ich meine lockigen Haare am besten pflege. Wenn ich nochmal in NYC bin, werde ich definitiv wieder einen Termin bei Sara vereinbaren.
