I spotted this salon while walking around the area a few days ago and booked an appointment to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! Haru had just moved to Melbourne from Hong Kong after working in Tokyo and Osaka. He was incredibly stylish, skilled, patient, and paid great attention to detail. Just had an excellent haircut experience at Little Bear Barbershop in South Yarra, Melbourne. Garreth absolutely nailed the fade — super clean, sharp, and exactly the style I was after. He took the time to understand what I wanted and delivered with great attention to detail. Really happy with how it turned out. The whole experience was smooth, professional, and worth it. Robin is honestly the best hair stylist - I’ve tried more than a dozen Korean and Japanese stylists around Melbourne to get a wolfcut perm as an Asian guy and no one has ever really nailed it…except Robin. He pays attention to the natural sectioning of your hair, the texture/thickness and achieves the look you want based on how your hair behaves. Thanks Robin, you’re the best!

It is always a pleasure to visit the South Yarra salon. I've been coming to Shibui for 30+ years, originally to their South Melbourne salon which no longer exists. Simon is an amazing cutter and stylist - I always come out loving my hair even when we've tried big changes over the years. We have great chats - I value his open, intelligent, and personable approach. The support team are all incredible, making tea, providing the best head massages at the basin, and generally being warm and welcoming. Love Shibui!

Jim gave me a beautiful haircut easy for me to maintain. He kept the (slightly below my shoulder) length of my hair just by freshening the bottom and then cut fringe around my face to eliminate the bothersome issue of the windy conditions in Melbourne blowing my hair against my eyes and lip gloss. His gentle demeanor is very calming . I appreciated that he patiently showed me how to style my hair on my own and suggested ways to keep my hair and scalp healthy! I was so pleased that I quickly booked another appointment for color and a blow dry finish. I felt I was in expert hands!

I stumbled upon Andre’s instagram page after searching for a hair stylist that specializes in long hair. Booking was easy and I was attended to timeously. Andre consulted with me and understood what I was looking for. He is friendly and personable. He cut and blow waved my hair beautifully. I’m incredibly happy with the results. I think I’ve officially found my Melbourne hairdresser!

Absolutely marvellous. From the very first impression to the end of my blowdry, I felt in very safe and competent hands. My stylist was very friendly and took time to consult with me and discuss my requirements. I'm so sorry I've forgotten his name but he was a young man from the UK . Gave me a great shampoo and a really fab blowdry. I received two compliments on my hair that day. :) I was visiting from interstate and Bradley Rose Salon is my " go to" for my hair appointments when I'm in Melbourne.
