New to Portland and this is my fourth haircut at this shop with Syd. My husband goes here to another barber. We have had only great cuts here. Syd takes the time to understand exactly what cut I want. She has easily adjusted as I changed my style. Brings comfortable conversation to the experience. The shop is nice and clean with fun art and a talented and friendly crew.

Heidi was very nice and did an excellent job cutting my hair. This shop has been our family’s go to since they opened and we’ve never been disappointed. My last haircut was in North Portland, took twice as long, and cost me about $15 more, so this was a much better option. Thanks!

Shawna is an artist that has Mastered her craft. There us an abundance of decent barbers in Portland, but Shawna is one of the few experts in town. I don't think Shawna truly knows how awesome she is, because she is still humble, approachable, and not an egomaniac.

It’s always hard to find a good barber; especially when you have a history of bad haircuts. My wife and I are in town for a photo shoot this week and I was doing some extensive research before even arriving in Portland for a barber I felt would be a good fit. After doing some good research of several places, I landed on Marcos at Throne and I couldn’t be happier! He was quick but very detailed oriented. He gave me exactly what I asked for and I am super pleased with the results! I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Portland!

My compa told me about this place down by St. John's Bridge in Portland. Felt like I stepped in a barber shop in PV, super chill and skillful staff, cleanliness was good, service was quick yet with the finest quality of haircut. Kincade always gives my son(12), a great solid cut! Currently my son is growing his hair out, and .. Kincade is great at sculpting, listening and making sure this “in between” stage still looks sharp. I am super picky when it comes to who touches my son’s hair (have had bad experiences with previous barbers). Kincade is the only one I trust now to touch my son’s hair. Even when he moved from the North Portland throne to the Dt location, we still make the drive clear from Happy Valley for him. 5 stars all day. Also bonus: my son loves that he doesn’t leave cut hair ever on him!

Culture Barbershop has become my exclusive shop in Portland, and frankly—I cannot recommend it enough. You can expect a fresh cut, dope professional barbers, and two locations that really showcase the neighborhoods that they serve. I personally frequent the shop in the Pearl, for convenience sake; however, I got a chance to check out the Lombard location— definitely worth the trip, the place is immaculate. The work, and atmosphere that Jesus Aguilar and other barbers have put into these locations are pure quality.

Blake is my favorite barber in Portland, hands down. I've tried a number of other spots that are closer to my home, or my work, but he's the only one that seems to know how to correctly cut my thin blond hair. I'll catch a ride across the city just to get a cut from him—so wherever he's cutting hair, that's where I'll go—and I'm super happy to see he found a new spot at Take Pride Barbershop. Clean. Comfy. Cool art. Great staff. Love it!

Just the color I hoped for today and by a student artist (Anna), Summit Salon Academy of Portland level 1 of 5. She was skilled, patient,thoughtful, asked questions, and listened. The instructor was there as needed. It was fun listening to their exchanges. Their rates are great, but that not the point. You get a whole experience and get to support someone's education. Go!

Wonderful experience. Started out with foot soak for 15 minutes followed by Raven providing a fabulous foot massage. I try to always enjoy a reflexology session when I’m in Portland.

My mother and brother said you were beyond excellent!!! While she’s horrified she fell asleep, she said it’s the best massage she’s ever had and makes her want to move to Portland. They send “a million thank you’s, appreciation, and gratitude”.
