What a treat it is to come get my haircut and spend time with the lovely ladies at Crissel New York! Crissel is not only a phenomenal hairdresser but also kind, thoughtful, and funny. I always have such a great time chatting with her and her awesome crew (namely Rosie and Susie). Crissel always makes me look and feel fabulous... and at a great price. Even after moving away from the neighborhood, I still maker the trek back because I know I can rely on Crissel to make me look my best (and give me a few good laughs). Highly recommend this wonderful salon!

Despite the entire appointment taking ~6.5 hours (with a 30 minute break in between), I appreciate the amount of care and craftsmanship displayed. Akila took her time washing, blow drying, braiding, and installing my hair. She was very attentive whenever I mentioned a braid was too tight and tried to loosen them for me. This was my first sew-in and I appreciated her answering my questions plus giving me tips regarding caring for my closure. The end result was really pretty and I’ve received many compliments so far!

I had such a great experience with London! I got a closure sew-in and LOVED it. When I came back for a wash and maintenance, she made sure to ask me how I’d been liking it and if there was anything I wanted done differently. You can tell she really cares about her clients and wants them to leave her chair feeling amazing. She’s super detail-oriented (which I appreciate SO much) and her energy is just so good you feel comfortable and taken care of the whole time. Highly recommend!

Kayla is great! I was initially worried about getting a weave because I wanted something natural, but Kayla braided and sewed in the hair in a way that makes the weave look like my own hair. I travel from Jersey every two weeks to get my hair done here and it’s so worth it.

I’ve officially had the pleasure of being styled by Marcy, Shannon, Jordan, Lexy, David, and Jessica… and LOVED every single experience. Walking in, unwinding, laughing, and leaving feeling polished never gets old. David deserves a special nod for shampooing and conditioning with a head massage that sets the tone for fully indulging and treating myself. Finding this salon so quickly after moving to the area has felt like such a gift. Juan and his stylists are creating a fun, elevated vibe while making clients feel seen, cared for, and a little spoiled… EXACTLY how it should be.

I’ve been back twice since my last review and I’m loving getting to know the whole team. Tuesday visits deserve a special shout-out to Marci—such a great experience and total pro. Seeing David again was a treat (feels like winning the lottery every time!), because his shampoo and massage are next-level relaxing. Today Jess gave me a beautiful blowout, and Lexy’s shampoo was lovely and calming in its own way. Huge thanks to Juan for creating such a hip, friendly, fun salon with the best vibe. My Lash Technician Camilla was gentle and took her time. If I ever felt discomfort, I informed her and she rectified it quickly. I have not had my lashes done in a very long time and was happy that she some pictures to show as a reference. I will definitely come back to get my lashes done again. Maybe in a different style.
