This is a 5.0 star review. My stylist was ANDY. I have had many bad experiences with hair cut services. I have necessitated only 2 visits to hospital emergency since living in Metro Vancouver. Both were the result of a bad experience at a salon or barber. I can't disclose the specific issues treated by compassionate doctors, but they were true emergencies that couldn't wait for a walk-in clinic the next day. To me it is thus necessary to protect myself against bad behaviour. Andy EXCEEDED expectations results wise and is the most attentive and respectful stylist I've ever met.

Got my dream pastel pink hair color from Black Asian Hair. Hana is very careful and always makes sure I’m comfortable during the long procedure. I am very satisfoed with the result. Will definitely be back when I visit Vancouver again.

Yuma was the one who did the head spa for me. She knows her stuff. I really appreciate that she put in just the perfect amount of strength in the massage, as I had masseuses put in too much strength or too little in the past. You can tell she puts in a lot of attention in her techniques, doesn't half-ass anything, and treats her clients extremely courteously like someone from Japan. The whole experience was quite relaxing too, as I nearly fell asleep during some portions. I would come here again if I am a Vancouver resident, but I live in Toronto!!!! People in Vancouver are blessed.

May was such an attentive and knowledgeable hairstylist. She really knows hair coloring techniques and my color + haircut session went above and beyond my expectations. She really understood and went over many inspiration photos with me going over the pros and cons before we decided on what to do with my hair. I highly recommend May. The hair salon was also very spacious, clean and inviting.

Yuma is very friendly and works very hard to provide a haircut which matches what you ask for. She always produces an excellent result and the experience is very enjoyable. You receive a choice of drinks and a wonderful relaxing massage. Without doubt the Hive and Yuma are the best hairdresser I have ever had.

I had a fantastic experience at Cafuné! I have very dense, naturally curly, and coarse hair, and after two bad haircuts and even some self-cutting, my hair was a disaster when i saw chiaki. On top of that, I had a very specific style in mind, so I was nervous going in. But the result came out exactly the way I wanted. It’s been about a month now, and I still love my haircut so much. Thank you Chiaki for helping me appreciate my natural curly hair after so many years of straightening it.

Love this place! I've had the same hairdresser for years but she went on vacation so I tried this salon and had an appointment with Marina for haircut and scalp treatment (so relaxing!). She's so nice and did an excellent job with my haircut. Highly recommended :)
