I had the most amazing experience with Candyce at Jamal Amal Hair Salon! In which from the moment I walked in, she made me feel so welcomed and at ease. She truly understands hair and took the time to listen to what I wanted, offering expert advice along the way. The end result was beyond my expectations. In all honesty my hair has never looked or felt better! Whiles on the other hand her attention to detail, skill, and warm coupled with her personality made the entire appointment such a joy. Genuinely the best haircut I’ve gotten in NYC. I’ve gone to quite a few different salons dedicated to curly hair, including traveling all the way to Jersey to get a proper cut. And in all instances I’ve left underwhelmed, with a cut that was not what I had asked for. This experience was the exact opposite! She took the time to take into account the different curl patterns I have, my daily styling routine, what I wanted and what was achievable. I left the appointment looking and feeling amazing! For anyone out there with 3c hair who has struggled to find a proper cut, definitely visit Chi!

I saw Trish who always does my color. She's great for all hair types, but mine is long, thick, and wavy/curly. She understands how to cut it so I can wear it down and she does a great job with the color too! The salon is a neighborhood gem!

I recently visited Jamal Amal Salon to get my hair braided, and I had such a great experience! Alon was great! I have a hair loss problem where I pull the hair out on the back of my head and I normally get very uncomfortable at the salon / nervous they’ll ask about and he didn’t ask about it which made my day. Will definitely return.

My hair has been getting wavier lately and I wanted a cut to bring out the curl more. Keith listened to me first before even starting on my hair, to get an idea of what I wanted and what my current routine is. He then helped me figure out a routine to do at home. I’m more than pleased with the results! He rescued my hair from a very bad cut I had a few months back (at a different salon) with someone who didn’t listen to me at all, and instead straightened my hair. Plus he brought out wave in the back that I didn’t know was possible.

Loved my haircut and blowout at Luna Lucci Hair Salon! The stylist was skilled, friendly, and really understood the look I was going for. My hair feels fresh, bouncy, and perfectly styled. I’ll definitely be back!

Burak my hair stylist was amazing. Loved the way he applied my extensions and his patience . However I’m not 100% happy with the quality of the extensions. The salon staff including the owner were extremely nice. Overall it’s a very nice salon.

After many years with the same stylist, I was due for a change, and Laiz at Casagrande came highly recommended. She is very methodical in her approach and asks all the right questions to gain an understanding of what the client's needs are. Laiz assessed my hair's multiple curly personalities, and I could tell that she was someone who takes great pride in her craft- one can see it in how meticulous she is when cutting. The salon is super clean and the vibe is chill, complete with Bossanova covers on repeat, and an adorable mascot named Cannoli. I highly recommend Casagrande Salon and Laiz!
