Manage product suppliers, brands and categories
Keep your inventory organized and easy to manage by setting up product suppliers, brands, and categories. This guide will help you streamline your inventory management process.
Getting started
Once you’ve added product suppliers, brands, and categories, you can easily select them when adding new products. Before you start:
- Make sure you have the required permissions to create and manage product suppliers, brands, and categories. If you’re a team member, request access from the workspace owner.
Setting up product suppliers
To add a new supplier:
- Open Catalog and select Products.
- Under Inventory, click Suppliers.
- Click Add and fill in the following details:
- Supplier name and description:
Enter the supplier's name and a brief description to help understand the products they offer. - Contact info:
Provide the supplier's name, mobile number, email, website, and address. - Physical address:
Enter the supplier's address.
- Supplier name and description:
- Click Save.
Setting up brands and categories
To add a brand or category for your products:
- Open Catalog and select Products.
- Click on Options and choose either:
- Manage my brands:
The brand of the product and displayed to clients on your online store and receipts. - Manage my categories:
Add categories making it easier for your clients to locate specific types of products. - Click Add bew brand or Add new category.
- Enter the brand or category name.
- Click Save.
Managing product suppliers
Edit product suppliers
To edit product suppliers:
- Open Catalog and select Products.
- Under Inventory, click Suppliers.
- Select the supplier and then click Actions.
- Choose Edit Supplier and make changes as needed.
- Click Save.
Delete product suppliers
To delete a product supplier:
- Open Catalog and select Products.
- Under Inventory, click Suppliers.
- Select the supplier and then click Actions.
- Choose Delete supplier.
- Click Delete to reconfirm.
Managing brands and categories
Edit brands and categories
To edit a brand or category:
- Open Catalog and select Products.
- Click on Options and choose either Manage my brands or Manage my categories.
- Select the brand or category and make changes as needed.
- Click Save.
Delete brands and categories
To delete a brand or category:
- Open Catalog and select Products.
- Click on Options and choose either Manage my brands or Manage my categories.
- Select the brand or category and click Delete.
- Click Delete to reconfirm.
