In this lesson, I'll walk you through how to set up timesheets and wages for your team, including how to customize these. Let's start by taking a look at a team members profile.
To set this up from team, just choose the team member you want to update and select actions to edit their details.
Under the pay section here, choose wages and timesheets. Just switch on the setting to start setting up their hours and pay under compensation type. You can leave this as none if you want to track attendance alone, but to get the most out of timesheets, you can set the hourly pay for the team member. Here we'll set it to $25 an hour.
You can also set up overtime pay too. This is great if you want to pay your team a different rate for any time they work beyond their regular hours.
Now let's move on to customizing the team
members timesheet settings.
Firstly, we have an option for location restrictions. When this option is turned on, the team member will only be able to clock in once they're physically at your business location. This is great for tracking attendance accurately.
Next, we'll have some handy options to automatically log the team members activity, so they won't need to take any actions themselves to clock in or out. Here you can enable this team members timesheets to automatically clock in, clock out, or start and stop scheduled breaks. When enabling any of these options, the team member won't need to take those actions themselves. It will automatically be tracked for them.
Here, you'll note a shortcut to change the default settings for your workspace. These are the settings that will apply
to all team members by default, but you'll have the choice to customize each setting per team member.
Timesheets also factor in any breaks the team member takes. You can set the type of breaks that your team can schedule, plus whether the time is paid or unpaid.
To set these up in your settings. go to scheduling and select
Blocked Time Types. Then add a new one like this. These are so ideal for things like lunch breaks or training sessions. And in this case we'll add a paid lunch block.
Let's take a look at what this looks like when a team member takes a break after the team member has clocked in. They'll see an option to start their break. Here they can choose one of the break types you have set up. You can also schedule breaks for your team on the calendar using block time while scheduling a block time from the calendar. You'll see the break types here when breaks are booked in the calendar. It will automatically show on the team members' timesheets. This takes away the hassle of tracking regular breaks that happen often, like lunch.
And that's it. You're all set to track your team's hours
and pay with next to no effort. Every clock in break and shift is logged for you, powering your pay runs and reports. No more punching cards or juggling spreadsheets. Fresha does all the work, so you don't have to.
