I am visiting Cairns for 2 weeks and was a walk in client wanting my lashes filled as I didn’t get to have them done before leaving Brisbane. I was greeted by a lovely girl by the name of Michelle and made a booking to have my lashes done with her on the following day. I was very impressed with everything about this salon. I laid in the most beautiful treatment room on the most comfortable beauty bed whilst having my lashes done, and was EXTREMELY happy with how my lashes looked upon completion of my appointment. This is a really fantastic salon - relaxing, pampering, expert, friendly and kind. The best way I can describe it is ethical luxe. If you are, like me, new to town and are not sure where to go for that little treat or indulgence and want to be treated like a princess don’t look any further. Faux fur blankets, warm bed to hop into after the ‘nasty’ treatment for the remainder, delicious elixirs and dainty little edible treats presented in a glass cloche post-treatment were some of the highlights. Donna is a font of information about the best cafes in Edge Hill and the must-do’s in Cairns.

Donna is highly skilled and experienced in buccaneers massage. Donna put me at ease immediately and I can’t believe that after just one appointment felt tension release in my jaw and neck. Tension we carry around daily is difficult to identify and Donna’s work and care left me feeling lighter and more relaxed in this area than I have for a long time. DJ gets my colour right EVERYTIME! They are both polite and professional. Happy not to talk if you don’t want to and happy to engage if you do. I don’t really like talking too much when I get my hair done, it’s my time out to reflect. But over the 2hrs I found myself talking about family and renovations and we always have a really good laugh with both DJ and Nikki. DJ listens and does what I ask for. He’s honest and tells me if I don’t need a cut this time and this was not the first time I paid less than he quoted over the phone and that is always such a lovely surprise at the end!

I am absolutely thrilled to find DJ. After a botched haircut 2 weeks ago l got to the stage that l could not put up with my hair 1 more day. After reading 4 hours of reviews l crossed my fingers and decided to make an appointment with DJ at Suede. It was 1am in the morning when l went to make an appointment. I couldn't believe it when he had an appointment for 4pm that day. It was meant to be. DJ is certainly a professional and knows his stuff. I have now found my new hairdresser in Cairns. I would highly recommend DJ 👌
