11/10 experience! This salon was clean and the staff was nice and efficient. I’ve been to many salons and this was the most thorough hair wash and scalp massage I’ve ever had. And Curly was just amazing! I had the best experience with him. He listened and took his time to get my cut as precise and perfect as possible. He also gave me styling tips and got my pin straight hair to look voluminous like I wanted. Glad I found my new go to spot, and for my cut to be under $100 with tip is unheard of in New York.

Jill is a magician!! The New York winter and water had killed my curls, but Jill brought them back to life. So very professional and taught me about my hair and styling, while also keeping my preferences top of mind. The space is clean and modern, and the Self team were so wonderful.

It was my first visit and it was lovely. I love my hair, I love the staff, I love my stylist (Lauren), I love the way the products smell, I love the way everything looks inside, I love their organization and the way they handle business. If I wasn't moving next month, this would be my permanent salon, but unfortunately I'm leaving New York. :(

Hands down the best hair appointment I've ever had. I've colored my hair for years (like crazy bright colors), so I've been in many salon chairs. But Firuza was by far the best colorist/haircut I've had. David helped pick the perfect mix of colors, and Firuza did the most beautifully blended balyage and a seamlessly layered haircut. I had such a great experience with Holly Cheema! I came in wanting a non-bleached balayage for my naturally black/Indian hair, and my biggest priority was keeping it looking soft and natural—and she absolutely delivered. She really understood how to work with darker hair without compromising its health or integrity. The color came out beautifully subtle, with just the right amount of dimension and warmth. It enhances my natural hair instead of overpowering it, which is exactly what I was hoping for. You can tell Holly is super knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to what you want.

I have been flying back to New York to have Curly style my hair! I have been using him for over 20 plus years. I got married and moved away and have not been able to find a master stylest like Curly in my area. He is the best! I’ve been to many hair salons in the New York City area but, H2 salon in Brooklyn is by far the best hair Salon I’ve ever been to. My stylist Geneva is an expert at what she does. She keeps my hair, healthy looking good. I highly recommend H2 salon

Melissa is one of the best hairstylists I’ve been to in New York. She really brings the vision to life. If you’re looking for a great cut I would highly recommend going to her. She’s very precise with scissors and cutting natural hair. 10 stars. I’ve already booked my next appointment with her. :)

It was an incredible experience. I went to a different salon. They completely turned my hair, orange, yellow and dark brown Doreen saved my life. I wasn’t able to go to work. Very happy. Excellent experience highly recommend it. She repaired my fried hair into beautiful sleek with highlights. Absolutely fabulous thank you Doreen.

Last minute before a trip, I realized how bad of a hair color touchup I was in need of and my usual place was unavailable, so I decided to swing by the studio to see if there was any chance there for highlights. Dori was super nice and was willing to accommodate me last minute, even staying late since that was the only time I was available too, and she did an absolutely fantastic job!
