I have recently moved to Brisbane from overseas and have been looking for a hairdresser and Calbie is a minute away from home so I thought it would be perfect. My hair is so damaged due to various reasons one being over bleaching. I wanted to go for my usual highlights but was persuaded to get some low lights and I honestly cannot be happier. My hair looks fab and I was so impressed with the knowledge/expertise and how it turned out as I would never have suggested this myself. I am excited for my hair journey and so happy I stumbled across him on insta. 10/10 recommend.

Ella and Kade I was on holiday, and due to a broken shoulder, I could not blowdry my hair. I booked into Ella and Jade for a treat, salon unknown. What a wonderful experience I had l, I was greeted by Tuva with a huge smile and welcoming direction, Sarah then offered me wine and took me through for my basin, experience OMG the best head massage ever ever ever! Thank you, Sarah, Tuva was my stylist. She listened and did exactly what i asked for. Before during and after Tuva was delightful, I would definitely return when in Brisbane again Also a beautiful salon

Stefano killed it! I have fine 3A/3B curls and came to him with my reference photos from IG. He took the time to wholeheartedly listen to me and what I was going for, considering my preference and hair type. Stefano is so easy to talk to and after we came to an agreement about the vision he made sure to walk me through not only what he was doing but how I could achieve the same results at home. I love my cut which came out exactly how I wanted while preserving my length! I’m from the U.S. but if I lived in Brisbane Stefano would be my go-to for sure!

I visited the salon on a trip to Brisbane, with a reasonably tricky task of going a lot blonder in a balyage style. Christine understood exactly what I was after and did a great job in getting a result which was probably better than I had hoped for. All of the team in the salon were happy and friendly and I would feel really confident going to see any one of them, to be honest. I thought the cost was reasonable too. Thanks ladies, I will see you again when I am in Brisbane in 6 weeks or so!

I love Mia Hair Studio - I stumbled upon Mia with a GroupOn for a Keratin Treatment. The keratin treatment was professionally done and has lasted ages (I have very thick, curly hair and in Brisbane humidity it can be hard to control - all great now). While there, I mentioned I needed a cut, which Mia had no problem doing - she heard what I had to say and gave me the perfect cut with the texture I asked for. I have also had colouring done and just love it. I also love that it's a small boutique - I can get my hair cut and coloured in 2 hours (if you know, you know! I can spend 4 hours!)

As an ex-hairdresser, I’m very particular about my haircuts. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Visal at Zenith Lounge Barber & Cafe, and I must say, he exceeded my expectations. I had long hair and was looking for a fresh new look. Visal’s skill and attention to detail were outstanding. He took the time to understand what I wanted and executed it perfectly. Oasis is a serene place of calm amidst Brisbane’s busy streets. The space is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. I especially appreciated the small touches, like the big soft blanket and the sensory-friendly fabrics that kept everything warm and comfortable. My therapist had a wonderful energy, warm, calm, and friendly. The service felt very considered, and the price is quite reasonable for the level of care and quality provided. Recommend.

Never have I had such a dedicated hairdresser do my hair! Brooke really listened to what I wanted, and being a colour corrective service on copper, it was not an easy task! She really took the time to make sure I was happy and was very friendly and knowledgeable about all things hair. Can’t recommend her enough. If you want a genuine experience and customised hair, you need to go to Koha ☺️
