First time at Vaughans Hair and Beauty and I can honestly say what a treat. My beard had gone full wildebeest but Anna worked her magic and transformed me into something resembling a well groomed supermodel. Or at least someone who no longer frightens children! The whole experience was incredibly relaxing and one of the calmest trims I’ve had in ages. The salon has such a peaceful vibe and the view of Plymouth Sound and Drakes Island was genuinely stunning. Huge thanks to Anna for the care the chat and the craft. I’ll definitely be back.

Anna is a wonderful hairdresser and colourist. I live in London and I now book my hair cuts and highlights in with her when I am in Plymouth. She cut my nine year old’s hair today and she was so kind and takes such care in her work - my daughter loves the cut!!

Nadia was wonderful! She made me feel welcome and relaxed as soon as I entered the salon. The waxing was quick but thorough, and she kept checking I was ok during the whole treatment. I would highly recommend and I think I've found my new wax lady 🙂

I’ve had a back injury for around 8 years now and have the odd flare-up. This time I’ve done it good and proper (probably the worst since initial injury) and managed to get last min appt with Gabriela. My son just had a fantastic bespoke teen facial with Kresh, and he couldn't stop talking about it when he got home! He absolutely loved the treatment and is already excited to go back. I recently got ombre brows done by Sandra, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I was initially nervous about how they’d turn out, but the process was so smooth, and Sandra took her time mapping out the perfect shape for me. She explained everything to me and made me feel at ease. I was nervous about the pain as I'm afraid of needles but the procedure itself wasn’t too painful; the numbing cream worked well, and it felt more like scratching than anything unbearable. Sandra made me feel very comfortable throughout the procedure. She's fantastic! Ewa x

I had an amazing experience with Avril at Beauty Within. I had multiple appointments for different services (massage, manicure, pedicure, brow lamination, lashes and some waxing). Avril was exceptional at everything and I feel totally pampered and beautified 🥰 all the staff here are friendly and welcoming. Beauty within also runs extremely well operationally, all my appointments were on time and I found Avril to be super efficient and professional. I am super happy with the service and would definitely recommend.

Excellent massage and reflexology mentioned to Viv that I had injured my left leg muscle, I was struggling with steps, she massaged my legs as well and next day they felt so much better and steps no longer a problem. Highly recommend.

Today I had the ‘Calm & Cosy’ package and an eye brow wax. As always, Avril was welcoming, friendly and made me at ease. The Calm & Cosy was a relaxing, very calming and soothing experience. I cannot recommend Avril enough, definitely book an appointment. You’ll come out feeling brand new! Thank you Avril 😊

Im so pleased that I found Emma! I visit her for waxing and massage, she is very good at what she does. As a trans male I have in the past not felt welcomed or comfortable in other salons. Emma is warm and friendly and has a lovely, welcoming space. Highly recommend!!
