I’m so pleased with how my hair looks after my first appointment with Maddie. She took the time beforehand to go through exactly how I wanted it to look, she was very friendly and made me feel very relaxed. The colour and cut is perfect - I’d definitely recommend her!

Having moved to Harrogate I was looking for a new salon and I’m so pleased I came across shade. Millie is lovely! The salon is beautiful and such a warm atmosphere with a great service. My hair looks and feels incredible and I’m so pleased. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this Shade to anyone looking for great results and a genuinely enjoyable experience!

This was my first haircut with Eve at Montpelier Mews, Harrogate. Eve was very friendly and asked me what I would like stylewise, and she was very attentative and did a Great job with my hair and I am pleased with the results. Sandra G

Millie is very talented. Always listens and gives the best consultative advice. I moved to London in March and specifically travel back to harrogate every few months so she can do my hair. Wouldn’t trust anyone else. Also gives the best head massages!

Fantastic experience. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who did my blow dry but she was warm and friendly. She gave me an amazing head massage while washing my hair and I was treated to a cold beer while in the chair. I was I love with my bouncy blow dry ready for my brothers wedding. I don't live in Harrogate but if I did I would certainly become a regular.

Millie always looks out for my hair & what’s best for it - even if it’s what I don’t want to be told. My hairs thinned due to several reasons and she advised a break from extensions for a few weeks to let it repair and thicken and gave me some great tips to help. Hair Colouring is always absolutely spot on. Warm cosy vibe in the new location/salon. The coffee is lovely too. Thank you as always ❤️

I've been coming to “The French Reception” for years now, and for me personally Laurent is the best hairdresser in Harrogate. His skill, attention to detail, and ability to understand exactly what I want never fail to impress me. Whether it’s a simple trim or a complete restyle, Laurent always delivers perfection! The salon itself is a welcoming and stylish space, making every visit a pleasure.

I can’t recommend Millie highly enough! From the moment I walk in, Im made to feel so welcome and comfortable. The salon has such a warm, friendly atmosphere, and Millie is professional and attentive. Im always thrilled with my hair once she has worked her magic.

French reception is by far the best salon I have found since moving to Harrogate 9 years ago! Laurent is a top stylist and colourist and I love the atmosphere of the salon.

The best cutter in Harrogate, in my opinion. It's 6 months since my last cut , due to lockdown, and my hair was still in shape. I think that says it all.
