Harix was amazing with my curly cut. He took the extra time to talk through styles - I only had a few directions and no particular style request. I'm so happy with the way he understood and cut my hair, he's very experienced and loves cutting curly hair. He also took weight off my curls to give them some bounce. Would 100% recommend for all curly cuts.

OMG, I got my haircut from Andrea and she is AMAZING. I have curly hair and havent gotten it cut since the pandemic started, PLUS I also had a baby, so it was looooong. She dry cut it and worked through my curls and did such a great job. I feel like a new person - with bouncy, well-styled, no-longer-straggly curls. THANK YOU!

Excellent first time visit to this salon. I did the olaplex treatment + haircut and blow dry special. The stylist was very detail oriented and took his time and in return I have one of the best cuts and blowouts I’ve ever had! Will be back 100%. Thank you!!

Great experience here at TriBeCa hair studio, my stylist listened to my needs and executed my blow dry the way I wanted. It was my first time in New York as I’ve travelled from London. Will come back here again whenever I’m in New York! Thank you girls! 🥰🥰

I’ve been going to Kat for years! She is an excellent stylist. Recently she styled my long locs for my wedding and it was perfect. I told her how I wanted to feel and showed her my dress and she worked her magic. What I appreciate about Kat the most, aside from her hair expertise, is her vision. Kat has style. She knows what looks good. I can trust her ideas and I don’t have to always have it all figured out. I love that about her. Lastly, she also is an excellent colorist. In the early days of my locs, she would do all my wild colors (blondes, red, dark blue etc.).

Jill is a magician!! The New York winter and water had killed my curls, but Jill brought them back to life. So very professional and taught me about my hair and styling, while also keeping my preferences top of mind. The space is clean and modern, and the Self team were so wonderful.

I’ve been so so many salons in nyc but Lurissa is simply the best. Such a relaxing atmosphere and she really cares about the heath of your hair. Also highly recommend her yaki straight hair. The best quality ever! So lucky to have found her

She was great. I will definitely return. My hair was in bad shape after braids and she gave me a nice cut and style that I'm comfortable with. Extremely patient. I didn't really know what I wanted, but she gave me the perfect style that looks good on me.

Sunday's visit was pleasant one. The room clean, neat and cheerfully decorated. We listened to music and had great conversation. Candyce has magical hands and did a great job retwisting and interlocking my hair.

I enjoyed my hair experience with Candyce. She is professional and knowledgeable hair stylist. She washed, conditioned and started my locs. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a natural hair professional.

I was a walk in. I was warmly welcomed & wonderfully helped. While the stylist finished up with someone, I sat on the comfy couch in the rear of the salon. I was given a consultation after a short time. My hair is curly & it needed to be trimmed and shaped. The results were just what I was hoping for. Thank you Harix of Roots Radicals Williamsburg.

I've NEVER written a review in my life. No cap. But Desiree's work at The Way inspired my first. My daughter's hair was always this dry, clumpy mop that took stylists 10+ hours to braid—most visits took two days. Our first visit to The Way? A haircut and 2½ hours later, we finally got to celebrate her natural curly hair. Curls just popping and locking. Beautiful. For parents with mixed kids struggling with their children's hair—this place should be shortlisted. Highly recommended and will definitely return. Thanks, Desiree and The Way!

Staff was wonderful and able to fit me in very last minute for a wash, blow dry and trim. Best shampoo I’ve had in a LONG time, and I left feeling like my hair had been well cared for. Would definitely recommend, and I plan to go back again soon’
