I had such a great experience with Jahlena! My haircut came out excellent, and she really took the time to explain what I need to do to get my hair back healthy and strong again. She educated me on how often I should come in for trims and gave honest, helpful advice about maintaining my hair properly. Her vibe was so friendly, welcoming, and professional, and she made me feel completely comfortable throughout the appointment. I truly appreciated how knowledgeable and caring she was. I’ll definitely be taking her advice and giving braids a break for a while so my hair can regain its strength.

She was great. I will definitely return. My hair was in bad shape after braids and she gave me a nice cut and style that I'm comfortable with. Extremely patient. I didn't really know what I wanted, but she gave me the perfect style that looks good on me.

Loved my time with Liv! I had just taken out my braids and needed a good deep conditioner, silk press, and trim. She took great care with my hair. The silk press came out perfectly straight and smooth, and she was friendly and professional throughout the entire appointment. She even gave me tips for maintaining the style. Can't wait for my next appointment.

I recently visited Jamal Amal Salon to get my hair braided, and I had such a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and polite, making me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in. They took their time to ensure my hair was styled perfectly, and the attention to detail was amazing.The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which made the entire process so relaxing. I left the salon feeling confident, refreshed, and absolutely loving my braids! Ainur took SUCH great care of me today! I had never been to this salon, but decided to come since I saw great reviews online. I showed Ainur images of what I wanted (icy blonde underlights and a face framing highlight) and she was so open and happy to help me achieve this look! My natural hair color is about a 1B/2N. I also had box dyed the bottom half of my hair blonde. It was uneven and darker than I wanted. Ainur worked on my hair for 5 hours! Carefully checking the bleach and reapplying as needed. Once finished, both other clients at the salon complimented my hair! I couldn't be happier!

Melissa is absolutely amazing!!!! I removed my braids after only having them in for a month- between the braids and having gone without a trim for an extended amount, my hair was in horrible shape. Melissa could have chosen to simply rake through my hair, instead she was gentle and thorough and truly took her time. I learned so much about my hair during my first visit with her. I’ll definitely be back three months from now for my trim. I highly recommend Melissa and have nothing but great things to say about my first visit to the salon.

I walked into the salon today 7.14.26 extremely nervous because it's been over 8 years since I have done my hair professionally. Jahlena was amazing as my hair stylist and Stephenie was an absolute sweetheart as the assistant. Jahlena was attentive and honest, steering me in the right direction. Stephenie was sweet, kind put me at ease (she made me a cup of tea 🙂). I definitely recommend H2 Salon if you are looking for a professional, clean and respectful hair salon. Since I now reside in California and visit NY twice a year, I will be getting my hair done at H2 Salon whenever I'm in NY. ♥️♥️

I've NEVER written a review in my life. No cap. But Desiree's work at The Way inspired my first. My daughter's hair was always this dry, clumpy mop that took stylists 10+ hours to braid—most visits took two days. Our first visit to The Way? A haircut and 2½ hours later, we finally got to celebrate her natural curly hair. Curls just popping and locking. Beautiful. For parents with mixed kids struggling with their children's hair—this place should be shortlisted. Highly recommended and will definitely return. Thanks, Desiree and The Way!
