Collect deposits in-store
In this guide you'll learnt how to confirm an appointment by collecting a deposit in-store.

Collect a deposit when scheduling a new appointment
- When scheduling an appointment, add a client from the left panel, then select a service from the right panel.
- In the right panel of the appointment view, under Payment policy, select Collect deposit now.
- In the pop-up, enter the deposit amount or percentage. Click on the Add button to apply the deposit amount.
- Click on the Save and pay now button at the bottom of the appointment view.
- Select a payment method from the list of available options.
- Click on the Pay now button to process the payment.
Once the deposit is collected, the appointment is confirmed, and the payment is recorded in the client's booking.
Collect a deposit for an appointment awaiting confirmation
- Open an appointment that is awaiting confirmation through a deposit.
- In the right panel of the appointment view, click on Action (three dots) at the bottom and select Collect deposit now.
- In the pop-up, enter the deposit amount or percentage. Click on the Add button to apply the deposit amount.
- Click on the Save and pay button at the bottom of the appointment view.
- Select a payment method from the list of available options:
- Saved card
- Card terminal
- Gift card
- Tap to pay
- Click on the Pay now button to process the payment.
If you wish to confirm a scheduled appointment without collecting a deposit or requiring card details, you can manually change its status from "Booked" to "Confirmed". This will automatically remove the payment policy requirement.
FAQs
When deposits are collected in-store, a no-show fee isn’t applied because the client must agree to the fee at the time of booking. To charge no-show fees, send a deposit request so the client pays upfront and accepts the no-show policy.
