In this guide you'll learn how to become Fresha verified on the marketplace and how your clients can use Fresha gift cards to book with you.
How being Fresha verified works
When your online profile is verified, a badge will appear on your Fresha marketplace page. This badge shows clients that your business is trustworthy and reliable. Being Fresha verified also gives your business added benefits:
- Higher visibility
Verified businesses are prioritized in marketplace search results and recommendations. Clients can also filter for "Fresha verified" venues, helping them find businesses like yours more easily. - Gift card payments
Only verified businesses can accept Fresha gift cards, which makes you discoverable to even more clients. - Client trust
The verified badge signals quality and dependability, encouraging more clients to book with you.
Becoming Fresha verified
Becoming Fresha verified is quick and simple. Just follow these two steps:
1. Enable Fresha payments
Activate the Payments Add-on to start the verification process. Once your account passes Fresha’s payment verification checks, your profile will be verified automatically.

If you’ve already enabled Fresha Payments, your profile will be verified when it’s published on the Fresha marketplace.
2. Publish your online profile
Make your profile visible to clients by publishing it on the Fresha marketplace. Once your venue is live, the verified badge will appear, and you’ll be ready to accept Fresha gift cards.

Accepting Fresha gift cards
Fresha gift cards make it easy for clients to book services at your business, giving you more opportunities to grow your business. Fresha gift cards are free to accept, with no payment fees for clients using them.
How clients can add Fresha gift cards to their account
Clients can add a Fresha gift card to their account by opening the confirmation gift card email they receive and clicking the "Add to my account" button.
Alternatively, clients can copy the gift card code and add it to the Wallet in their Fresha client account, by clicking "Add a gift card".
How clients can redeem Fresha gift cards
Clients can buy Fresha gift cards online through the Fresha marketplace and redeem them at any verified venue. Gift cards are valid for 12 months, giving clients plenty of time to book with you.
In-store:
Clients can use their gift cards to pay for appointments, services, and products during checkout.
- Create a new sale or checkout an appointment.
- Depending on the client’s preferences, there are two ways to redeem a Fresha gift card:
- If the gift card has already been claimed by the client, it will automatically appear as a payment option on the payment view.By selecting the Gift card, you can redeem any amount against the appointment total.Any outstanding balance of the appointment total can be paid by another payment method.
- If the gift card hasn’t been claimed, or if the client doesn’t have a linked account in your client list, you can manually select Gift card as the payment type from the payment view.
- You can then enter the Gift card code and search for the card on your system.
- You can the proceed with payment by clicking on the Pay now button at the bottom.
Online:
Clients can use their gift cards when booking appointments on the Fresha marketplace, if an upfront payment is requested to confirm their booking.
- At the confirmation stage of a client booking an an appointment, the client will be prompted to pay a deposit to secure their booking.
- By clicking on the Add a gift card button below the payment method types, the client can choose to use part of, if not all of their gift card balance as an alternative payment method.
- In the pop-up, the client can enter their gift card code and Confirm to apply the gift card balance to place their booking.
- Once the gift card validity is confirmed, the client can click the Confirm button to secure their appointment.
Payments from Fresha gift cards will be credited to your wallet, with next-working-day payouts. These will show as “Fresha gift card” in your transactions.

Fresha gift cards can currently be purchased and redeemed in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Yes, refunds can be processed for payments made with Fresha gift cards. The refunded amount will be deducted from your business wallet and reissued to the client as a new Fresha gift card.
Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Clients can check the expiry date in their Fresha Wallet on the app or website.
No, there are no payment fees for accepting Fresha gift cards from clients. However, if a new client discovers your business through the Fresha marketplace and books an appointment, the Marketplace New Client Fee will apply.
