Transfer stock between locations
Ensure product availability and reduce waste by transferring stock between locations. Learn how to update inventory, and managing transfers to prevent overstocking or shortages.
Getting started
When you transfer stock between locations, your inventory records will be updated, and a report will be generated, highlighting any discrepancies, including cost figures and missing stock. If you’re a team member:
- Request permission from the workspace owner for Products before transferring stock between locations.
Transferring stock
To transfer stock from one location to another:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Click Add, then choose Add new transfer.
- Select the location you want to transfer product stock from, and then choose the destination location where the product will be delivered.
- Click on Add product and select the product you'd like to transfer.
- Choose your Order quantity for the selected product, then click Save.
- Review the Order summary and add the Expected by date along with any associated fees.
- Click Create order.

Managing stock transfers to another location follows a similar process to handling a stock order.
