Create stock orders
Create stock orders
Streamline inventory management by placing orders directly with your suppliers. Learn how to create stock orders to ensure you always have products available for clients.
Getting started
Before creating a stock order, make sure you're set up properly by:
- Adding your suppliers to your workspace.
- If you’re a team member, request permission from the workspace owner for Products.
Creating new stock orders

To create a stock order:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Click Add, then choose Add new order.
- Select the supplier you want to order product stock from.
- If you have multiple locations, select the location where the order should be delivered.
- Choose how to create the order:
- Start with products low and out of stock:
Automatically add products that are low or out of stock based on your low stock level. - Start with products due for reorder:
Automatically add products below the reorder quantity. - Add products manually:
Manually choose the products you want to order.
- Start with products low and out of stock:
- Review the Order quantity and Unit cost for the selected products.
- Set the Expected by date (automatically set to three days later).
- If necessary, add any extra fees, such as shipping charges or taxes, by clicking Add fees.
- Click Create order.
- Email your order directly to your supplier or download a PDF version.
To create a stock order:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Click Add (+), then choose Add new order.
- Select the supplier you want to order product stock from.
- If you have multiple locations, select the location where the order should be delivered.

- Once the products are selected, tap Add products.
- Review the Order quantity and Unit cost for the selected products.

- Tap Create order.
- Email your order directly to your supplier or download a PDF version.
Receiving stock orders
After receiving products from your suppliers, update your stock levels.
Stock orders received in full
- Desktop
- Mobile
To review a stock order that is received in full:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Select the relevant stock order, then click Actions.
- Click Receive stock.
- Select the products you've received, enter the Received quantity.
- Enter any extra costs by clicking Add fees.
- Click Receive and Complete.
Your product quantities will be automatically added to your inventory.
To review a stock order that is received in full:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Select the relevant stock order, then Actions.
- Tap Receive stock.
- Select the products you've received and enter the Received quantity.
- Tap Next step and add any relevant fees.
- Click Receive and complete.
Your product quantities will be automatically added to your inventory.
If you receive extra products that you didn't order, click Add more products to update your stock.
Partially received stock orders

To review a stock order partially received:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Select the relevant stock order, then click Actions.
- Click Receive stock.
- Enter the Received quantity for the products you've received.
- Select Next Step and add any relevant fees.
- Click Receive order.
- Under Confirm partially receiving order, choose either Mark order as partially received or Mark as completed.
- Click Confirm.
To review a stock order partially received:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Select the relevant stock order, then click Actions.
- Tap Receive stock.
- Enter the Received quantity for the products you've received.
- Select Next Step and add any relevant fees.
- Tap Receive order.
- Under Confirm partially receiving order, choose either Mark order as partially received or Mark as completed.
- Tap Confirm.
Managing stock orders
Edit stock orders
You can edit a stock order that has the status of Draft or Ordered.

To edit a stock order:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Select the relevant stock order, then click Edit.
- Make changes as needed.
- Click Update order.
To edit a stock order:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Select the relevant stock order, then tap Edit.
- Make changes as needed and tap Next step.
- Click Update order.
Cancel stock orders
- Desktop
- Mobile
To cancel a stock order:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Select the relevant stock order, then click Cancel order.
- Click Cancel order again to reconfirm.
To cancel a stock order:
- Open Catalog and select Stock orders.
- Select the relevant stock order, then tap Cancel order.
- Tap Cancel order again to reconfirm.
