Create service variants
Learn how to add different pricing options for a single service, offering clients more choice using variants.
How service variants work
Service variants let you offer different versions of the same service, each with its own price, duration, or description. Variants appear as selectable options during booking, making it easy for clients to choose exactly what they need without navigating a long service list.
All variants stay grouped under one main service, keeping your menu organised and helping you manage updates in one place.
Create a service variant
- From the main menu on the left of your screen, go to Catalog.
- Select Service menu from the left menu panel.

- Click on an existing service or create a new one.
- In the Service view under Pricing and duration, click on the Options button, then select Add variant.

- In the pop-up, enter the following details:
- Variant name: Add a name for the variant to help clients understand the difference between options. For example, Short hair or Long hair.
- Variant description: Add a summary of what the service variant includes to help clients understand what to expect.
- Price type: Choose whether the service is Free, has a Fixed price, or starts From a minimum price.
- Price: The cost of the service based on the price type selected.
- Duration: The time needed to perform the service.

- Select the Add extra time button to include additional time in the service variant from Processing time, Blocked time time or Extra servicing time.

- Click on Settings from the left menu panel to enter a SKU number to identify variants in reports.

- Select the Save button at the bottom of the pop-up to add the variant to the service.
- Click on the Save button in the top right to update the service.
Once a new variant is added to the service, clients will see clear options to choose from during booking. To create additional variants, select the Add variant button under Pricing and duration.

FAQs
When you edit or delete a service variant, the existing appointments that include that variant stay exactly as they were booked, and the variant details remain attached to those appointments.
You can manage online or in-store booking availability for a service variant by adjusting the booking settings for the main service. Variants follow the same availability as their parent service. If you want a variant to have different availability, you can create a separate service to offer that option.
Service variants are used to offer different versions of the same service, such as short or long hair, standard or deluxe, or partial or full services. Each variant has its own price and duration.
Advanced pricing is used when the price or duration of a service changes based on who performs the service or where it’s performed. If you need different pricing per team member, per location, or both, use advanced pricing instead of service variants.
