The Avalon Rooms are the brain child of Flik Denham. Flik, one of the UK’s foremost award winning cosmetic and medical tattoo artists and body piercers, decided to open the Avalon Rooms in late 2019 after having sold her previous studio of 11 years. It was time to bring people something different, a place where the practical and the divine could meet on equal terms, a studio that would not just fulfil a need in the local community but nurture that community, a place to find quality in all its forms. In order to accomplish her vision Flik has sought the very best of everything from ethically sourced crystals through to handmade spell candles and artisanal jewellery. Of course the true magic is not just in the place and the products, it’s in the people. Flik’s handpicked team of artists consists of internationally award winning senior tattoo artist Ivan Chobanov, our incredibly talented holistic therapist Lorraine Faulds, piercer Megg Allsop who was taught under Flik’s own watchful eye, Avalon manager Di Denham a former executive assistant to the CEO of a national mental health support organisation and our tattooing apprentice Georgia Denka, a classically trained and regularly commissioned artist in her own right. This team was assembled not solely because they are good at what they do but because they share many of Flik’s values of kindness, warmth, professionalism and duty of care. They strive to give the best treatments they can every time and to expand their knowledge at every opportunity. The Avalon Rooms is a place for you to find what you’re seeking; be that a particular smudge stick, comforting tea blend, an exquisite tattoo, a fresh set of brows, expert body piercing or peaceful therapeutic time just for you.
