Dermaplaning is a procedure in which the skin is exfoliated, and dirt and vellus hair (“peach fuzz”) is removed. 
This differs to “dermabrasion”, in which the aesthetician or doctor uses a high speed rotating brush to exfoliate the skin. 
Rather, with dermaplaning, a scalpel or dermatome tool is used.
