What a treat it is to come get my haircut and spend time with the lovely ladies at Crissel New York! Crissel is not only a phenomenal hairdresser but also kind, thoughtful, and funny. I always have such a great time chatting with her and her awesome crew (namely Rosie and Susie). Crissel always makes me look and feel fabulous... and at a great price. Even after moving away from the neighborhood, I still maker the trek back because I know I can rely on Crissel to make me look my best (and give me a few good laughs). Highly recommend this wonderful salon!

Just amazing as usual. Second visit for hard gel manicure and I have zero complaints! First manicure was 7/25 and lasted until 8/28--could've gone a few days longer. Beautiful ladies always polite, professional, and knowledgeable. VERY clean, organized, great location, & serene. As long as I am in NY, I will be a customer--Just a wonderful job!

The nail techs are top notch. I get structured gel and it’s amazing - it lasts 4 weeks with no lifting and my natural nails are long & healthy thanks to them. The atmosphere is also great, I always end up having fun convos while I’m there.

Pick a Color is a fab black woman owned spot! We had a morning appointment for a gel mani pedi and a specialized pedicure, and they accomodated us running late. The vibes are cute, cozy, and stylish. RnB in the background and friendly conversation.

Just moved here from Pittsburgh so I needed to find a nail salon to build a relationship with! So happy this was my first stop. Loved, loved, loved Yasmin. She was very welcoming and kind. She also went above and beyond helping me find my color. She also pays attention to detail so i left with the perfect manicure. Would recommend her and the salon to anyone!

My stylist Rosey is the best! She does magic with the scissors and my hair always comes out looking amazing. I go to her and say “clean it up and add some life to it” and she does! Curtain bangs, layers. I have long black coarse hair and after I see her - my hair is shiny, bouncy and free “! You won’t regret it! Thanks again Rosey!

She did a great job again. The only thing I wish, is that she had put the nail polish in another layer, as after I left I saw in a different light and I saw nuances of it. But, she is absolutely fantastic and very talented. I am so happy with her work, and I will continue to be a loyal customer!

my nail technician explained everything that she was doing as she was doing the process . She was also very nice I’ve never been offered coffee or tea at a nail shop or been treated so kind and respectful . Lovely work , as someone who previously has done acrylics that are very damaging to the natural nail this manicure saved my natural nails and looks very elegant. Lovely experience!
