Wonderful experience at my Spa Massage just outside York. Afer much online research, booked Deep Tissue Massage Treatments for Two (sister and self) at Shabby to Chic just outside York centre and were completely satisfied. Both Elise and Sarah were very professional taking pride in their work - both therapists took the time to listen as to which areas to concentrate on and the treatments were tailored accordingly. Wished we lived nearer, as were just in York for a couple of days - would like to go back on a regular basis to pursue a tailored treatment plan - can't speak highly enough!

My visits here are always a massive highlight for me. Lisa, Stacey and Alix were so welcoming. Always friendly and caring and creates such a relaxing environment. There is nowhere else in York like it! Alix took such time and care doing my nails and the art I had found. Fantastic job and love my nails. Incredible Japanese head spa, such a relaxing environment from the offset with the heated bed and weighted blanket. My scalp has never felt so clean and healthy, and the mini facial and neck and shoulder massages were an amazing bonus!

Having a combination of a head, body and face massage with Irina was just the most ideal reset and like no massage I’ve had before. I felt both energised and relaxed, and like time had stood still! Irina is so knowledgeable about the styles she uses and I felt safe, nourished and entirely at ease. I had a lovely massage thank you. It would have been nice if the cd player didn’t stop and start all the time. Also the aromatherapy aspect was not really evident in the massage oil. It seemed like plain carrier oil with little or no essential oil in it. When I’ve had aromatherapy massage before the therapist has chosen a blend specifically and explained the qualities. There was no residual lovely smell on my skin afterwards at all. That aspect was a little disappointing but the massage itself was very good.

Wonderful experience having my first Ayurvedic massage with Irina. She very calmly and patiently explained the process and the philosophy of Ayurveda, and helped find the appropriate oil for my body. I will definitely be back and be recommending Irina to my friends in York and visitors.

I love visiting select. The staff are chilled and friendly. They don't mind who you go with for treatments as long as you're relaxed. They're highly trained & knowledgeable and happy to chat or be quiet if I'm zoned out. The facials and hot oil massages are gorgeous, but don't plan anything afterwards because you'll be so relaxed! They're brow experts. It's not easy finding people you trust who are consistently good. For electrolysis, they're the best in York, I tried 3 other places before finding Joanne. The location is easy to find and has free parking.

Great job at doing my hair. Visited several hairdressers in York to try and tone down the blond in my hair but not go two dark and they managed to get the colour just right. Good cut, reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Iryna’s hands consciously caring, and so thorough working her way generously offering this pause this surrender. She worked her magic from head to toe. The experience such an escape of intuitive kindness. So pleased to know these hands now and how beneficial. A reminder of the self love needed and how deeply it runs through feeling so rested so nourished and releasing any tension any tight with such gentle caring hands.

Irina's healing hands are an absolute joy. She made me feel very comfortable and explained everything very clearly before we got started. The head and face massage were so calming I was instantly relaxed. After the full body massage I left on a cloud smelling of beautiful oils. The next day really surprised me as it felt like a cloud had been lifted from my head and I have been able to articulate my thoughts more clearly since. I would highly recommend her talents to anyone. I am extremely grateful for the experience.

Absolutely fantastic!! Nikita is very professional and exceptionally good at what she does. Her massages leave me feeling totally relaxed and definitely help ease the tension I hold in my upper back and neck from spending long hours doing a desk job.
