My daughter just had her hair styled by Nisa at the salon, and the experience was wonderful. Nisa was amazing, so knowledgeable, attentive, and kind. She made the entire curl experience really enjoyable for my daughter and took great care to explain what she was doing. We’re so happy to have found a salon in Derby that truly knows how to style all hair types, making them a cut above the rest. We’re extremely pleased and will definitely be back/ highly recommending them to friends.

I’m so happy with my curly cut from Georgia. She really knows her stuff with curls and has brought out the texture of my natural curls beautifully. I’ve had so many complements from people who didn’t realise I had curly hair until now. Will definitely be back again.

My first proper curly hair cut!My hair was cut whilst dry so that the curl shape & pattern could be seen & it was cut without the hair being pulled straight & out of shape.Then my hair was washed using products specifically for curly hair & treated to a steam treatment to help lock moisture into the curls.Next I was shown how to use a brush, again designed for curly hair to encourage the formation of the curls before a blow dry with my head positioned to enable maximum lift at the roots.I was given one of the brushes & a pack of the products used on my hair to take away. Excellent experience!

Wonderful experience at Makeover Salon, staff was so friendly and welcoming. Curly products (Only Curls) smelled so beautifully and worked really well for my hair, I even was able to take some free samples home. My hair looked so defined and felt pampered by Millie, thank you !!

The stylist did an amazing job with my fresh cut and colour—it turned out exactly how I wanted, and the curls at the ends were flawless. Sophie is a lovely lady consulted me which colour would be better and also gave me a good curtain bang! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that some of the colour wasn’t fully removed from the back, so I had to wash my hair again once I got home.

I cannot fault Millie's friendliness or expertise as a hairdresser. This was my first appointment for a proper curly cut as my hair has gone wavy with menopause and I really wasn't sure how to work with it. Millie talked me through the process of the dry cut before washing. She also told me the best to wash and style my hair. She was patient when I was unsure of the length, the parting and my fringe. It makes me seem very fussy, but she was so lovely throughout. I definitely recommend Millie, and I will definitely be back. Thank you Millie 😊

Holly is great, really listens to what you really want, and also understands that each and every person has a different problem with their hair. Whether your hair is fine, course, curly! Or two crowns as I have!!! Cuts and colours my hair exactly as I like. I always feel fantastic when I leave the salon, and know I do not have to restyle my when I get home !!! As my hair is exactly what I wanted it to look like as I leave. Thank you for a wonderful service, you are a rare find in the hairdressing business.

Paige is amazing! She is my new go to hairdresser in Derby, and I 100% recommend her! Whether you’re looking for a simple cut or a total blonde transformation, she is the person for the job. She’s super friendly and does an excellent job every time. The salon is conveniently placed and there’s always a good availability of appointments to suit your schedule.

Had my hair done by Paige on Wednesday, very happy with the result. She was extremely accommodating and patient , explained everything she did and checked it was what I wanted every step of the way. Also worked with my natural curly hair and was able to style it well! This was my first time at the salon and she made me extremely comfortable especially as I had never bleached my hair in the past. Would really recommend
