What a treat it is to come get my haircut and spend time with the lovely ladies at Crissel New York! Crissel is not only a phenomenal hairdresser but also kind, thoughtful, and funny. I always have such a great time chatting with her and her awesome crew (namely Rosie and Susie). Crissel always makes me look and feel fabulous... and at a great price. Even after moving away from the neighborhood, I still maker the trek back because I know I can rely on Crissel to make me look my best (and give me a few good laughs). Highly recommend this wonderful salon!

Best haircut I've ever had. Rosemarie has magic scissors. I don't usually leave a hair salon feeling confident. I have very thick, wavy/curly hair & there have been too many botched haircuts to count. It's not unusual for me to end up fixing my own hair at home. This time was different. Rosemarie instantly became my go-to girl.

Wonderful service! Natsumi really took good care of me. She listened to my requests and added some suggestions of her own before starting the haircut. The wash was super relaxing as well. We were both so happy with my hair and how it turned out! I loved it and would recommend coming here to get a haircut!

My group and I had an amazing time at Assort. We felt that the stylists we got perfectly matched and understood the style we wanted. All the stylists listened carefully to what we wanted and did exactly like the references we shared with them. Everyone was also gentle and guided us with what they were doing, and how it would be good for our hair. Overall, we all feel like this is now our favorite and will be coming back in the future for hair styling purposes!

Ruben is the man! I hadn’t gotten a haircut in over two years, so I was a little nervous about making a big change. He took the time to look through my reference photos, asked the right questions, and made sure he understood exactly what I was going for. He absolutely nailed it. He’s great with curly textured hair and beards, and you can tell he really pays attention to the details. I walked out feeling fresh, confident, and honestly better than I expected. Already looking forward to the next cut. If you’re on the fence, book with Ruben. You won’t regret it.

I've NEVER written a review in my life. No cap. But Desiree's work at The Way inspired my first. My daughter's hair was always this dry, clumpy mop that took stylists 10+ hours to braid—most visits took two days. Our first visit to The Way? A haircut and 2½ hours later, we finally got to celebrate her natural curly hair. Curls just popping and locking. Beautiful. For parents with mixed kids struggling with their children's hair—this place should be shortlisted. Highly recommended and will definitely return. Thanks, Desiree and The Way!

The positive reviews are well-earned! Came to donate my hair to Wigs For Kids. Cabello is mainly a men's barber shop, and I anticipated they would cut, and even out my hair, but I would go to another salon if I wanted to have it cut and styled further. Ruben, and his assistant Ei (ee-yay) were so open and warm that I showed them some pictures of what I was planning - and after some thought, Ruben did the cut! I was a little anxious at first, but Ruben is a precise craftsman, with an eye for detail, and a feel for hair. It came out great! I love it. Thank you so much again.
