Ja, je kunt locs loshalen en opnieuw stylen. Hoewel het niet op één dag kan – ze moeten mettertijd worden uitgekamd.

Er zijn veel misverstanden over locs, maar hier zijn vier van de meest voorkomende: Vastgezet haar groeit langzamer – dat is niet waar, maar vanwege de dichtheid van locs duurt het langer om haargroei op te merken. Haar met locs is vies – nee, locs worden regelmatig gewassen en geconditioneerd, dus ze zijn helemaal niet vies. Je moet locs beginnen vanuit kort haar - veel personen kiezen er inderdaad voor om het loc-proces te beginnen vanuit kort haar, maar het is niet essentieel.
