I had a fantastic experience at Self Bushwick. The staff were friendly, and the salon's atmosphere was both chic and relaxing. My stylist, Victoria listened to my preferences and provided expert advice. The result was even better than I had imagined! High-quality products and excellent service made my visit truly enjoyable. I highly recommend will definitely be returning!.

Milli/10 experience at Roots!! I had an appointment with Sabrina for loc maintenance and repair. She was so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made me feel very comfortable asking questions and was so welcoming. Everyone at Roots was warm and kind, and the atmosphere is great. I'll be back for sure.

The salon was comfortable and they offered me a beverage, so I drank mint tea while deep conditioning. My stylist Patrice was gentle when detangling and kept me informed on what she was doing throughout the process, including tips for the takedown of my style. Overall, this was a 10/10 salon experience.

Jill is a magician!! The New York winter and water had killed my curls, but Jill brought them back to life. So very professional and taught me about my hair and styling, while also keeping my preferences top of mind. The space is clean and modern, and the Self team were so wonderful.

Liyah was great. I came in because I thought my hair was in really bad condition. She assured me it was not and then provided me with more than few tips to get my hair back on track. This was my first visit to the salon and I appreciate the professionalism of the staff and general ambience. One thing to note however is that I was initially booked with another stylist and was switched to Liyah without being notified. I am assuming it was because I was a new client but a courtesy text or call would have been appreciated. Nonetheless not a major complaint, Liyah was amazing!
