Robin is honestly the best hair stylist - I’ve tried more than a dozen Korean and Japanese stylists around Melbourne to get a wolfcut perm as an Asian guy and no one has ever really nailed it…except Robin. He pays attention to the natural sectioning of your hair, the texture/thickness and achieves the look you want based on how your hair behaves. Thanks Robin, you’re the best!

I spotted this salon while walking around the area a few days ago and booked an appointment to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! Haru had just moved to Melbourne from Hong Kong after working in Tokyo and Osaka. He was incredibly stylish, skilled, patient, and paid great attention to detail. He gave me a fantastic haircut and also took the time to show me how to style and maintain it at home. Highly recommended. Thanks, Haru!

My hair stylist was very professional and great at listening to my needs. His highly skilled techniques plus the use of quality products resulted in a fantastic hair cut, blow wave and colour for under $200. I liked the way he also applied a complimentary hydrating hair product after rinsing the colour resulting silky smooth hair. I also loved the cappuccino even though it was served in a disposable cup. Excellent value for inner Melbourne.

i've been to assort a couple of times for perms and haircuts but i'm leaving this review for kousei specifically because he completely blew me away! i have very fine and straight hair that struggles to retain volume and kousei not only gave me the exact haircut i wanted that suited me completely, but he also gave me a rundown on how to style my hair with what products to make sure i can still get volume without a perm. on top of that he was an amazing conversationalist, super friendly, and showed great detail and care in cutting my hair. and he gave me an great scalp massage. ily kousei!! xoxo

Best hairdresser in Melbourne!! Jay is an absolute delight and his skills are off the charts. He never tries to ‘sell’ unnecessary treatments and gives wonderful advice re styling & colour. I live in the UK, but always come back to Jay and Claire when in the City for my 3 month stays. Highly recommend.

Vy was amazing! I got a haircut and perm, and although I was a little unsure at first because it was such a big change for me, I’m now starting to love it. She was so patient, gave great advice, and put a lot of effort into making sure my hair worked for me. I’m so glad I trusted her with this change and I’ll definitely be coming back. Kousei did such a great job on my hair! I have 4C-textured hair and I got a retouch for my Japanese straightening treatment. He treated my hair so well and was very patient detangling (another stylist in the salon also helped, which made it faster!). The entire process was smooth and efficient. If you have curly hair, trust that Kousei will do a good job! He is also a very kind person—he kept checking in, clarifying exactly how I wanted my bangs cut, and we had a fun conversation. Thank you so much, Kousei! I hope you're still here when I have to get a retouch :(
