I always anxious when visiting a new place for the first time, however all the amazing staff made a tremendous difference in making sure I felt welcomed and comfortable. Lovely aesthetic to the salon, staff were professional, and Kay, whom did my cut and perm, made me feel super comfortable. Kay took my vision and gave me a result that I am super happy with! Although I don’t live in Vancouver, I would definitely revisit Kay and Salon de Nuvida again whenever I am back!

Then I met Alex today, he knew exactly what to do with my hair without me even saying anything. To say he is a genius, is putting it mildly. He totally transformed my hair and my overall appearance. I received incredible service from Madoka and a wonderful lash and brow tint from the lovely Marina - both were amazing as always! However, something in the salon has changed. For the first time in two years, no one offered me tea or water, and the receptionist didn’t seem very welcoming or attentive to the order of my appointments. I really hope the salon brings back pedicures, they truly have the most comfortable chairs in all of Vancouver!

Yuma was the one who did the head spa for me. She knows her stuff. I really appreciate that she put in just the perfect amount of strength in the massage, as I had masseuses put in too much strength or too little in the past. You can tell she puts in a lot of attention in her techniques, doesn't half-ass anything, and treats her clients extremely courteously like someone from Japan. The whole experience was quite relaxing too, as I nearly fell asleep during some portions. I would come here again if I am a Vancouver resident, but I live in Toronto!!!! People in Vancouver are blessed.

Haircut was good. However it was difficult conversing and understand hair stylist as he just came to Vancouver recently. Good idea to use translation app until English proficiency improves whilev working at the salon.
