My visits here are always a massive highlight for me. Lisa, Stacey and Alix were so welcoming. Always friendly and caring and creates such a relaxing environment. There is nowhere else in York like it! Alix took such time and care doing my nails and the art I had found. Fantastic job and love my nails. So lucky to be able to come to such a great place with the nicest staff. Thanks you The Bothy! Xx

I was lucky enough to have the spa extreme ritual day, this was the best massage and facial I have ever had. The young lady who have me this experience was fantastic. The pool, and other amenities were great, the salt room especially. My Spar package also included a light lunch which I had a beautiful Yorkshire ham salad, and would highly recommend. You can even stay in your bathrobe to go and have lunch in the conservatory. I will definitely be returning.

CND gel polish with Alix was fab. She shaped them beautifully and good cuticle work. Good colour range - hope they'll wear well. Eyelash tint with Evie very disappointing. She was fab and even repeated the treatment, but my lashes are very fine, so no difference in reality before and after. Certainly no fault of Evie's. But treatment was specifically discussed by dropping into salon when appointments made, and was advised they would look amazing and even upgrade to curl / lift suggested. In conclusion, the advice was bad - the work undertaken by Evie if you've got good lashes is good.

Both staff were efficient, albeit lacking warmth. (Being Irish, we're used to a little friendly banter with therapists) Manicure was done expertly with a good colour. Hot stone massage was excellent

I love visiting select. The staff are chilled and friendly. They don't mind who you go with for treatments as long as you're relaxed. They're highly trained & knowledgeable and happy to chat or be quiet if I'm zoned out. The facials and hot oil massages are gorgeous, but don't plan anything afterwards because you'll be so relaxed! They're brow experts. It's not easy finding people you trust who are consistently good. For electrolysis, they're the best in York, I tried 3 other places before finding Joanne. The location is easy to find and has free parking.

I was looked after by Eleanor and she was absolutely amazing. She made sure I was comfortable for my facial and I was so relaxed during my treatment, pure bliss. I then had a manicure and pedicure which Eleanor performed with great skill. She was very friendly and we chatted away through my manicures which was very pleasant. The salon was clean and well equipped.

It was my first visit to the spa and I loved it. I was impressed with the size of the pool for a spa pool and I enjoyed the range of steam rooms/sauna. The jacuzzi was lovely, warm and powerful and the pool water was lovely and warm too. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I had a facial and a manicure with Katy who was excellent. She made me feel immediately comfortable. Being on my own, I would have benefited from being physically shown where places were on arrival but all of the staff were lovely, really friendly and I can't wait to go again. I am even considering a membership.
