This was my first time at The Workhouse and I got a little lost due to my maps taking me in the wrong direction. But as soon as I found the shop I was greeted warmly by Stacey waiting for me at the entry. Stacey is a very good beautician, it's always a risk when trying someone new out for waxing, but she made feel very comfortable even though I was full wolverine with my hairy self, she is efficient and thorough and a great chatter. of course waxing isn't always an enjoyable experience, but I was very happy with Stacey and she will definitely become my regular.

It’s my first time at The Knott and honestly I can’t say enough good things about it. An amazing haircut, and the best experience. Mary Ann was so kind and chatty and talked me through everything, I’m going back to lighten my hair next week and she made the process so easy and a joy. Couldn’t recommend enough!! If you’re in Folkestone and you need anything doing to your hair, this is the place to go!

Claire was great as always, she is very professional and very friendly too. I have been to many salons and it's not always the best experience when it comes to waxing but with Claire, you cannot feel any pain. I would certainly recommend Claire anytime.

Such a luxurious facial and massage experience - I feel thoroughly pampered, super relaxed, and loved every minute of these treatments. By far the best facial and massage experience I've had from any salon in the Folkestone/Cheriton area.

I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time and having a sweep the next day so needing booking in somewhere quick! This was the only available place but will now be my regular. The moment I stepped through the door Stacey was nothing but accommodating- the temperature of the room, the extra pillow on the bed, getting to know my history, using 2 different waxing methods to make sure I get a proper wax without damaging skin at all due to tougher hair and extra blood whilst pregnant. Lovely lady, made me feel so comfortable and I came away feeling amazing! So relaxed and cannot wait for my next!

My first wax and Claire was lovely. She put me at ease and paid attention to detail! Fully recommend, well worth the money with a great luxurious feel.

Excellent experience. The waxing was carried out very professionally and Stacey is such a warm and welcoming person. I’ve had this treatment for over twenty years at many different salons, and received good, average and some bad service. Stacey is up there with the best.

Claire did a really great Brazilian wax, it as painless as possible and we had a great chat too, 10/10, will be booking again!

So happy with my eyebrow wax

If I could give it 100 stars, I would. I am in town for a wedding and needed pre bridesmaid hair and I wish it was my local hairdresser. My extremely curly hair is soft, straight and smooth and the atmosphere of the salon is welcoming and inviting and homely. If I’m in Kent again, I will definitely be back!

Excellent eyebrow wax and tint. My first time so didn’t have a clue what to expect. Outcome was natural and really impressed with the results. Stacey explained the whole procedure. I’m really fussy and was chuffed with the results. That impressed I’ve already rebooked. Highly recommend.
