Buff is by far the best nail salon in Edinburgh. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else! I most regularly go to Ana and Holly, who are amazing, but chop and change appointments a lot and have never been disappointed with my nails, whoever does them. I strongly recommend Buff!

Tessa was amazing! So methodical and great attention to detail while also consistently checking in about pressure level and my general preferences. This is seriously the best manicure I have ever received and it was the relaxing, warm environment made it all the better. The shape/color of my nails are spot on and exactly what I wanted. Sadly I don’t live in Edinburgh currently, but if I did, I would get my nails done by Tessa exclusively. Thank you for a wonderful experience and good luck with the rest of your training!

Buff is the best nail salon in Edinburgh. I have to chop and change appointments a lot and every nail technician is fantastic. Also gorgeously designed spaces at both branches. Strongly recommend.

i love love this place, every time i’m in Edinburgh I come here. everyone is super professional & friendly. just luxury nails, care, and happiness. never going anywhere else to get my nails professionally done, each artist works with you to figure out exactly how & in which colors you want your nails. 11/10 recommend to anyone <3

I went in for nail tips however I was worried the artist wouldn’t be able to do them due to how bad my nails were. She was lovely about it and advised that my nails were too weak for them to last for my wedding. She looked after my nails with a manicure instead and managed to squeeze me in next week closer to my wedding date. I was quite embarrassed and she was very understanding and offered good advice

Always an absolute dream coming into the salon! From the moment you walk in, the energy is so welcoming and positive you instantly feel relaxed and looked after. This was my third time getting my nails done by Ella (biab on short nails with nail art 1 ). She is a very talented artist and has created fanominal sets with various nature themed designs I've asked for using colour and textures (fall cat eye leaves, twinkly butterfly sea slugs, wintery holly and robins). She is creative and attentive and I highly recommend booking in with her! 6 starts!

Emma was lovely, and very gentle doing my nails. Although she’s an apprentice she did fab with cleaning them and was very meticulous with putting on the gel. I love my nails and it was a nice experience in the salon, her colleague Stacy and other clients were very friendly too!

I had nail appointment with Magda today and couldn't be happier with the experience. She was incredibly attentive throughout the appointment, making sure every detail was perfect and that I was comfortable the whole time. Her skill and precision really show in the finished result. On top of her talent, Magda brought such positive, friendly vibes that made the appointment genuinely enjoyable. She was warm, professional, and clearly passionate about her work. I’ve been going to Magda for a while and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my nails. Her gel and polygel work is flawless — she’s brought every inspiration I’ve thrown at her to life, florals, marble with gold foil, seasonal art, you name it. She uses proper sterile techniques that are somehow rare here, and it shows. No shortcuts, no rushing, just really good work done properly. Appointments come with unlimited chat, laughter and coffee, absolutely free. Every visit flies by. The name says Happy Nails by Magda - I can confirm: both me AND my nails leave happy every time. Highly recommend.
