How Celebrate milestone automations work
Celebrate client milestones automations send personalised messages and offers to clients when they reach key milestones, helping you strengthen relationships, reward loyalty, and encourage repeat bookings.
You can choose from two campaign types:
- Welcome message for new clients: Sent after a client's first booking to welcome them to your business and invite them back with an optional offer.
- Appointment milestone message: Sent when a client completes a specific number of appointments, such as their 10th or 20th visit. You set the milestone threshold, timing, and which services count.
Enable celebrate milestone automations
- From the main menu on the left of your screen, go to Marketing.
- In the left menu panel, select Automations to view and manage your client milestone automations.
- Select the Celebrate milestone tab at the top and click on the Enable button under Welcome new clients.
- Under Trigger, click Edit. In the pop-up, set when the automation should be sent and select the applicable services. Click Apply to save your changes.
- Under Deal, click Edit. In the pop-up, set the Discount value, Expiry date, and Discount code, then choose the services the discount applies to. Click Apply to save your changes.
- Under Send an email, click the Actions button to manage your email automation settings:
- Edit content: Select Edit content to customize the Email details, Email content, and Deal content to match your promotion. Click Save in the top-right to apply your changes.
- Preview: See what automated email messages your clients will receive by sending yourself a test email.
- Disable: Select Disable if you don’t want this automation to be sent via email.
- Under Send a message, choose to send the automation via WhatsApp, text message, or both.
- To manage each channel, click on the Actions button next to WhatsApp or text message to Preview the message or disable that channel.

- Use the And/Or toggle between WhatsApp and text to control how the message is sent:
- And: The automation will be sent via both WhatsApp and text message, ensuring the client receives it through both channels.
- Or: The automation will first try to send via WhatsApp. If the client doesn’t have WhatsApp or the message cannot be delivered, it will automatically be sent as a text message. You’ll only be charged for the message that’s successfully sent. If the WhatsApp message fails and a text message is sent instead, you’ll only be charged for the text message.
- Click on the Save button in the top right to save the automation settings.
Once enabled, the celebration milestones automation will be sent to your clients based on your settings.
You also have the option to create a new celebrate milestones automation by selecting Create New from your list of celebrate milestones automations.
Manage celebrate milestone automations
- Open an existing milestone from your Automations.
- In the appointment reminder overview, click on the Options button in the top right and select one of the following options from the panel:
- Edit: Make changes to the automation.
- Disable: Stop the appointment reminder from being triggered without deleting it by clicking on the Disable button in the pop-up to confirm.
- Remove: Permanently delete the appointment reminder by clicking on the Delete button in the pop-up to confirm.
- Reset: Restore the appointment reminder to its default settings by clicking on the Reset button in the pop-up to confirm.
FAQs
Each discount code in a Celebrate Milestones automation is designed for single use by the client per campaign. For example, if a client receives a discount code, they can redeem it once per campaign, even if they receive it again in the future.
Celebrate Milestones discount codes are linked to the specific client who received them, so they can only be redeemed through that client’s account and the contact details the message was sent to.
Yes, clients can manage their preferences at any time by going to their personal profile, selecting Settings, and turning off marketing notifications under Notification settings. You can also manage this for them by opening their client profile, going to Settings, and disabling marketing notifications. This will automatically stop Celebrate Milestones automations from sending messages to them.
A great welcome message in a Celebrate Milestones automation is personal, warm, and informative. Include a thank-you for choosing your services, plus a special deal to encourage clients to book again.
Each appointment number can have one Celebrate Milestones automation, so you can focus on creating the most impactful celebration for each milestone.
