Initial consultation is the gateway to the world of Ayurveda. This is recommended for individuals who are suffering from health issues and are coming to Ayurveda for the first time. 

Initial consultation involves body type and imbalance analysis through questionnaire, physical examination, pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, marma analysis and so on. Then your imbalance will be diagnosed, root causes will be assessed treatment plan will be prepared.

According to your health condition the treatment plan may be a short plan for a few days to weeks or a long term plan involving a systematic approach based on your health condition considering your body’s strength and practical situation. The treatment plan includes diet plan, lifestyle recommendations, massage and detox therapies and/ or herbal remedies.

Ayurvedic Initial Consultation : In Person

The type of enema in which different types of herbarized oils are administered to the client is called Sneha vasti or Oil enema. Sneha means oil.

Sneha vasti is also called anuvasana. Anuvasana means that which remains in the body for some time without causing any discomfort. Oil enemas are of different types according to the dose administered. 

Oil enema helps to balance Vata. It can be done as a detox procedure or as a nourishing procedure by varying the dose and type of oils used. Oil enemas are usually very comfortable and one of the easiest form of Pancha karma.

Oil enema is a good mix cleansing and lubrication, so is an excellent way to cleanse Vata. It helps to relieve constipation, improve elimination of bowel, bladder, semen and menstruation and helps to prepare the body for safe and easy natural birth. It helps to boost intestines and pelvic organs.

Follow up consultations are the review appointments to assess the progress of the client and recommend any changes, if necessary. Typically, in the initial consultation, our Ayurvedic practitioners will recommend a follow-up consultation within a few days to weeks’ time.

During the first follow up session, we’ll assess whether the treatment plan has improved your health and whether any changes in the dose or plan is required. 

In case of chronic diseases, Ayurveda treatment will be planned in a systemic way through different stages like reducing inflammation (ama-hara), improving gut and metabolism (deepana-pachana), detox (pancha karma), rejuvenation (rasayana) and so on.
