Each body that sees me is wonderfully unique. I offer a very detailed and personalised musculoskeletal and structural alignment assessment. The discussion will also be based on the following topics:

 

– talk through any chronic or acute injuries

– chat about your biomechanical history

– look at your habitual and behavioural tendencies.

– speak about any underlying psychosomatic trauma.

– notice any compensational patterns within the body through a musculoskeletal and structural alignment assessment.

– (re)start a dialogue between the mind and the body.

An initial consultation is advised prior to any bodywork. If you require a GP approval this must be brought with you and presented during the consultation. Consultation can also be done virtually during out of clinic hours. You will only need to do this once.

Want to gain a deeper understanding of a specific topic in your life – an emotion, communication, anxieties etc.?  Need to move trauma or old habitual patterns out of the body? Looking for a really therapeutic way to destress?

Here, in these welcoming hands, I use a variety of techniques such as myofascial release, acupressure, integrative body psychotherapy and somatic experiencing to openly explore with gentle curiosity what the body is trying to communicate.

Clients help guide the session by undergoing a brief consultation prior to the treatment to get exactly what they need.

(Please note due to the nature of this treatment I advise leaving enough time to integrate after the session. If you require a full day session, please get in touch directly.)

Are you a habitual teeth grinder? Get frequent migraines and/ or jaw ache? Do you tend to chew more frequently on one side? This treatment uses Myofascial Release to unlock tension in the jaw, externally and internally, using latex-free gloves. A gentle head massage follows the treatment to further release tension from the neck, face and scalp regions. A top-up session a week later will help to continue the unwinding of habitual patterns.

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a manual therapy technique that focuses on releasing tension in the fascia, which is the connective tissue surrounding muscles and organs. It involves applying deep, sustained pressure to identify and release restrictions in the fascial tissue. MFR aims to improve flexibility, reduce pain, and restore movement by addressing these fascial restrictions. The areas of treatment are chosen by and are client led.
